Replaced 6 windows

Our windows installation project was for 6 windows, triple pane. Our salesperson was Max, really friendly guy, provided all the info and explanations for the project. Had to deal with our really terrible property management company and their slow response times, so the project got delayed by a few weeks. However Max managed to get the installation underway a short while after everything got resolved.
The cost of the windows altogether were a lot higher than what we expected, and considering the type and size of our windows (mostly sliders for a normal bedroom-sized window, and a very small bathroom window) the cost was a lot higher than what the website would lead you to believe.
The actual installation finished within a day and the workers were friendly. However immediately after they left, when we tried to open one of the bigger slider windows outwards to test, the hinge came out and the entire window slid down onto the floor. The frame ended up cracking in the corner and we had to call them back to put the window back into the wall. Although it was heavy and one should probably support the window when opening, the hinge should still be strong enough to hold it otherwise how would you increase air flow?

That night after installation when we were in the bathroom, we found out they actually cracked our bathroom granite countertop, a very visible crack on the top that stretched through the entire layer of granite. This made us very upset and we contacted the sales rep again. He said he'll try to compensate by giving us a window replacement of the cracked window for free (they were going to charge us ~$150 before for a replacement which we weren’t gonna do). It's been over a month before he contact us again saying the new window was built and that the company would call me to schedule a time to install it. A few more weeks have passed since then and we’ve received nothing yet…
Additionally, there were multiple scratches and gouges on the walls near the installed windows.

Overall, salesperson did a great job for his part and in trying to help us but the installation crew should've been a lot more careful when installing. We also didn’t get any real compensation for the cracked countertop, since the big window falling should’ve been an installation or quality issue to begin with and should technically be covered by them for free anyways.
The triple pane windows did do their job of keeping the heat in at least, as the rooms feel a lot warmer than before. But overall when averaging the good/bad it wasn’t worth the amount of money spent.

Approximate cost of services:
$8,800.00
