Converting from Electric to Propane Furnace

We converted our heating services to a Propane Furnace in November 2017. The job performed by Genesis (or CHIIC) was very shoddy and never completed and his contractors/sub-contractors never cleaned up the mess that they created during the installation. Holes were made in the house's walls to pass vents but never sealed, today we have extreme cold air coming through the holes We have been attempting to contact the owner for about two weeks and cannot get a return call from him. On top of that, during the installation, Mr Knight borrowed from me a brand new Karcher Power Washer to clean up his garage. I have never senn this power washer since. Today is Jan 13,2018. Still have not been able to locate the person that sold us and installed our Propane furnace, HVAC etc... In the meantime, we were able to contact CHIIC and explained them our problems. On Thursday, they send a technician to inspect the furnace. He discovered that although the installers had replaced the Natural gas jets from the furnace with the jets required for a Propane furnace, they had not adjusted the furnace itself too run properly with the propane gas, therefore, the furnace was burning at a much lower level than it should have and was wasting a lot of propane. Since Dec 4, 2017 we have gone through 1800 liters and were assured by the technician that with the present setting we would require a lot less gas. On top of that he also noticed that that the installer did not connect the air humidifier correctly so that it was not working at all. Aside from this, he also mentioned that none of the ducts and cold air returns have not been insulated at all and the installers did not use anchors to secure the ducts properly in the drywall and were already starting to fall from the ceiling. Today is May 3, 2018 and after all the troubles this has caused us this winter, we are now considering contacting the Financial Fraud department and possibly the OPP so that they attempt to locate the person responsible for this and charge him with theft in excess of $5000.00 for the items he illegally took from our property while installing the heating equipment. I have totally forgot to mention that the owner has now disappeared, no one can find him, and we have still not received the Rebate of $1,700.00 he had promised us in the contract. We have still that in writing but never got the Rebate money.

Approximate cost of services:
$25,000.00
