I must admit that I smiled when I read, "being female I appreciated that he wasn't patronizing at all" Hahaha...do you know how many contractors/ trades people (including inspectors) do? It's like their attitude is "hey you're a girl, and this is construction talk, so you don't know what I'm talking about". Let me tell you this Melanie, many, many women are well informed and well versed with "construction talk"! My goal is to teach a person about the home, not wow them with all my knowledge.
