My backyard lawn suffered badly from last summer's dry conditions and this spring there was 80 % weeds, 20% grass. I contacted Keith Sears of Newfoundlandscape by email on the recommendation of my neice who had her lawns replaced by that firm. Keith contacted me and arranged to visit to view the damage and suggest a solution. It was no surprise to me that he suggested removing the existing mess and replace it with new sod. He and his crew arrived at 7:00a.m. on the date agreed and set to work immediately. His crew of 5 removed all the existing grass (weeds) and earth beneath down to 5", replaced that with new topsoil and levelled the yard. They then installed freshly harvested sod, rolled it and sculptured the sod around our garden plantings around the perimeter of the yard. The final result was spectacular and my wife and I were extremely please not only with the result but with the friendly and efficient crew. They worked non-stop and consulted with us whenever they had a question about the design we wanted. Took them from 7:00 a.m. to about 3:00 p.m. to complete the work that transformed my yard from an eyesore to a thing of beauty. To borrow a phrase from the PGA Tour, "these guys are good". I have no hesitation in highly recommending this firm for any landscaping job.
