9/10

We moved into our current home a little over 2 years ago. The roof was a hybrid of entry level standing seam metal and shingles that seemed fine at first, but started causing issues soon afterwards. After a handful of bandaid solutions, we decided to replace everything with a new roof. Now that everything is done, we're happy we chose Clicklock, and we're very happy with how it all turned out. And, of course, we are so relieved to be finally done with all our roofing woes. The crew was great--they were very polite and accommodating, and we didn't even know they were here most of the time. They talked with us to clarify a few points in the contract to make sure they had it correct, and they also did the little bit of extra cleanup we asked for without issue to make sure our backyard was safe for our toddlers to play in. And the roof looks great--better than we expected to be honest. The shingles themselves look great, and the support brackets that hang over the fascia are a nice extra touch you don't get with traditional shingles. And the brackets seem functional too--I just discovered one of my eavestroughs was totally backed up as I think this is the first time the roof is directing the water where it should be going. Imagine that. Regarding temperatures, we installed an Ecobee thermostat when we moved in, so it's easy to gauge and track temperatures between floors/rooms. In the summer over the last 2 years, the upstairs averaged 2-3 degrees warmer than the main floor, and our single floor extension room (built off the back of the house and used as a home office) was on average 3-5 degrees warmer than main house (direct line of sun). Now the new roofing hasn't been on long enough for definitive results, but so far the changes we're seeing are very positive. The second floor temperatures now are either the same or 1-2 degrees warmer than the main floor, and in the extension they are only 1-3 degrees higher, which is amazing, as that room is used constantly and even a small change makes a big difference. (Note: for full disclosure - we had a single turbine on the main roof replaced with 4 box vents with the new Clicklock roof, so this may be affecting the second floor temperatures as well). But our favorite thing about the roof (other than how long it will last of course, and that it's maintenance free) has to be the sound difference between the new roof and the previous metal roof that we replaced (that had been done with strapping). We would literally be woken up from our sleep in the upstairs bedroom when it rained under the old roof--it was that loud and distracting. But it's already rained twice since the new Clicklock roof went up, and both times the difference was like night and day. It really just isn't marketing embellishment--this roof is quiet. And that's from people who have been living in a "barn" for the past 2 years. Our sales representative Mitch did an amazing job answering all our questions (I know we had a lot of them), and working to make sure we were happy in the end. And we are.
