I have never written a review for any company, but in this case I feel it's warranted. I had an issue (for the second time) with the wall to wall carpeting buckling in my basement rec room. I called Victorious and spoke with Mark and face timed with him as well to show him exactly what my issue was. He explained in depth the various procedures involved with doing a repair and forewarned me that because of the built in ground-to-ceiling shelving I had that various seams may need to be created in order to stretch it properly. with my carpet having a pattern on it this may cause a slight misalignment at the seams. I ok'd the job and was quoted $350 for the work. When the 2 workers showed up (on time) and after a walkthrough showing me what caused the issue to begin with I was shocked. Carpet One did the original installation 3 years ago all throughout the basement and second floor.... and it was a horrible job. They did not install tack strips along the built-in furniture, nor around the support beams and only installed tack strips on the front of the steps leading upstairs, nothing on the sides. this was causing a bubble to form right in the middle of each stair as the carpet wasn't being held down from side to side. (which was not included in the quote when speaking with Mark) They went to work and 5 hours later they virtually re-installed the carper. Tack strips placed all around every edge including the closets, some glued and some nailed, tack strips on the stairs and around the support beams, 3 new seams created with virtually no misalignment to the pattern and stretched the carpet repeatedly until it was a smooth as glass!!! I wasn't charged any extra for the stairs and they even fixed a bubble patch I myself created upstairs by sliding heavy furniture-again no cost. These guys are top notch from A to Z and ANYONE needing any sort of flooring/carpet work would be foolish not to use them!!! Bobby T Caledon,ON
