This review is a bit long so for those that just want the punch line scroll to the bottom.. A couple years ago I had asked Jamie for a quote on my basement that I was finishing in my townhouse. At the time Jamie was very quick to respond and to setup a time to come by. He arrived on time and pleasantly walked me through the process and steps involved. He provided a quote promptly after his visit. The initial reaction and high level of customer service made me want to use his services for that basement. Unfortunately, I was doing most of the work in the basement myself and like many other's in my position, was trying to find a relatively cheap way of doing a job that can be extremely difficult to do without experience in doing it. I ended up choosing a different company to finish the work, which for a basement was half decent, but there were a lot of deficiencies. In the end you get what you pay for, and I had to live with seeing some tape pops and mediocre corners. Move forward a couple years.. Family expanded meaning a new home and unfortunately another unfinished basement. Again, I choose to finish the basement myself and again when it came time to mudding and taping I went out to get some quotes. I learned my lesson the first time so was not going to go the cheap route and this time come somewhere in the middle. I received 8 quotes, some low some high. At the time, Jamie was out of town but I provided pictures, floor plan, etc. and he was always quick in our back and forth communication on the details of the job. He gave an accurate and honest quote with the added benefit of using the Festool dustless sanding system. I narrowed down my quotes between Jamie and Andy's Drywall service, both of whom have high HomeStars ratings. As much as I wanted to use Jamie's service, should've listened to my gut, I went with Andy's service as it was a couple hundred dollars cheaper. I sent an email to Jamie telling him that I went a different route, and as usual he was very professional and courteous. Lo and behold, a week before Andy's team was to show up and start work there is a supposed error in the quote that he provided. The cost of materials was not added, even though the line on the quote read "Supply and install...". Adding the materials increased Andy's quote by about 15%, which was still around the same price as Jamie's quote. Being that the quote was not honored as provided, and there was a large increase to the quote only days before the work was to start, I lost faith in Andy's service and immediately contacted Jamie. Jamie immediately responded and honored the previous quote. By this time Jamie was pretty booked up but was able to get me in his calendar a couple weeks later. Jamie and his son Zack were on time starting the work, working late hours and over the weekend. Throughout the process they always seemed to be focused and enjoyed what they were doing. Never complaining about tough spots from errors during framing or drywalling. Before leaving each visit he would update me on the progress so far and the next steps. He was always in constant communication to when his exact arrival would be and was always on time finishing up. The job looked really good once finished, and I went to priming the very next day. During priming I noticed a couple rough areas and mentioned them to Jamie. He provided an immediate response and asked when was the best time he could come by to fix them up. Jamie and Zack came by, and with no discontent gladly went around and fixed the few spots that I pointed out. Jamie even noticed a couple other spots and fixed those up as well. Even though the job was complete and the invoice was paid, Jamie's customer service did not stop. He goes above and beyond to makes sure his clients are satisfied with the job and will not hesitate to do whatever it takes to get it done right. The pictures do not do the job justice. Jamie offers a premium service at a mid-market price. If you want the job done right, and from someone that actually cares about the results, go with Jamie, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Jamie and Zack for your hard work and I definitely use you for any projects in the future.
