JH Innovations indicates on its web site it is a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating. According to BBB records JH Innovations is NOT BBB accredited. I paid a deposit based upon the estimate for a combined kitchen and bathroom renovation to the owner of JH Innovations. We both signed a Letter of Intent, provided by him. The Letter of Intent states that any remaining funds from the deposit would be applied to the future project or, in the event the project does not proceed, would be returned to the customer within ten business days of written confirmation. Due to circumstances and greatly increasing cost estimates, we decided not to proceed with any kind of project involving JH Innovations. A letter stating this was sent to the business more than three months ago. When I called several weeks later because I had not received a refund, the receptionist confirmed they had received my letter. Many calls and emails later, I received only one call back from the owner. He said he had previously approved issuing the cheque and would follow up. If necessary, the cheque would be reissued. There have been no responses to my attempts at following up in the intervening month. No refund has been received. Misrepresentation, lack of follow up with customers, and not honouring written agreements do not exemplify the integrity this company so often speaks of.
