We had a roof installed by Delucca in 2009 - 8 years ago. We were advised that their work was guaranteed for 10 years. The shingles which were installed had a 25 year guarantee. Now, 8 years later the shingles are all crumbled and dropping off the roof . The deck is full of crumbled shingles. We contacted Deluca a month ago when tiles blew off the roof. Since then the rain is coming in. We were told we were on a waiting list. 6 calls later still no one had come to inspect the roof. Phoned again and got the assistant to the president (told the president does not talk to customers). She told us someone had come to look at the roof but he did not come to the door. Although our door was wide open from 6am to 9.30pm no one came near and we did not see a Deluca vehicle or a ladder anywhere on our property Someone was to come to-day but never showed and did not phone. Admitted it was raining and some stormy weather but at least a phone call would have been expected to arrange an alternative visit. I e mailed the company and sent pictures. A rep of the company phoned and was very offhand with us. He said that Delucca would take no responsibility whatsoever for the inferior shingles. After telling him we thought they should take responsibility or at least contact the manufacturer of the shingles to try to sort something out with them for replacement, we were advised (very rudely) that there was a class action against the shingle manufacturers and that if we had a complaint we should take part in the class action. As seniors and my husband suffering from cancer, this is something we do not have the energy to do. We have no other option than to have another roofer come along and replace the roof. If nothing else, I would think Deluca should have contacted the clients to advise them of the class action against the maker of the shingles to allow them to make a claim. I feel that we have received extremely poor service from Deluca and they have obviously no regard for their clients. I would certainly not recommend them to anyone looking for a roofer. Their work ethics are very poor to say the least.

Hi Mrs. Lynch, It is unfortunate that we have lost a good customer such as yourself due to a product warranty issue. To clarify, we had two separate installs at your home - In 2004, and another section was installed in 2008. The area that was of concern was 13 years old, and well beyond our 5 year (at the time) installation warranty. We attended after a period of extreme weather caused wind damage that resulted in a leak, and we stopped the leak and explained our concerns with the shingles and the warranty process. While we would have been happy to assist you with the shingle warranty claim process, we understand your need to move forward and have the roof replaced.

Bought a bamboo kitchen floor from Lumber Liquidators in Stoney Creek. Love the bamboo but hate the service from L.L. There is no service! The floor was installed 2 years ago and was installed badly (they had recommended the installer and I booked it through the Stoney Creek store). The floor joints are now all parting. I have phoned the company many, many, many times and am still trying to get this problem sorted. I have sent in a report to the USA head office (2 years ago!) and nothing - been in contact with at least 7 different staff members from Mississauga and Stoney Creek. They all appear to have left the company - I wonder why??? Had an independent installer out to look at the floor (he works in conjunction with L.L. when they request it). he has been here twice and twice told me the floor has been badly installed and needs ripping up and replacing. He was here 3 weeks ago and said it should be replaced and he could do the work in August but the boards need to aclimatise for a couple of weeks before he can lay them. I contacted L.L. last Monday and the manager assured me he would personally call me back that day and sort this out. To-day, a week later, I phoned for him again as he did not call me back and to-day he is off. So now I wait until tomorrow and continue this fight. They are happy to sell you to product but they don't want to know if there are any problems. I would never, never, never purchase anything from L.L. again. I have learnt my lesson the hard way. They are a very unreliable company and have problems telling the truth. Buyer beware!!!
