Our basement was completely gutted and remodelled to accommodate a legal basement apartment. Luke and his crew handled everything from dealing with the City (ex. permits, by-laws, fire inspections etc.) and subcontractors for other jobs (the driveway addition). They stayed on budget and when there were unexpected problems (ex. major electrical issues, crack in the foundation, missing support walls and beams), Luke found a solution at a reasonable price. Going through a renovation can be stressful and discovering your house has dangerous wiring and is structurally unsound is horrible but Luke guided us through the process and helped us understand our options. Luke was different than the other contractors we looked at (I interviewed 8 others). He used 3D technology to help us visualize our options and he listened to our ideas and when possible incorporated them into the design. His goal was to give us a beautiful basement apartment and his work went above and beyond.
