When we began the process of developing our unfinished basement, we sought multiple estimates just so that we had a variety of options to choose from in terms of contractor knowledge, personality and of course, price point. We felt the majority of the companies that we engaged were priced excessively high. Above Grade was reasonably priced. When you combined the price point with the comfort we felt with Derek (the owner), we were confident in selecting his company. Derek is extremely personable and accommodating--just the kind of company you feel comfortable having in your home daily for two months. Derek's team has extensive knowledge and experience and they were able to suggest some things that have proven to be wise decisions. The guys were all very polite and did their best to keep dust and dirt from tracking into the home. As with any project, there were very minor hiccups but Derek's team ensured that everything was done to our satisfaction. Nothing was left outstanding and most importantly, Derek sticks to his estimate both in cost and time. There were no surprises which is extremely comforting to homeowners entering into such a large project. We would have no hesitations in recommending Above Grade Basements.
