I had a long and painful bad experience dealing with Mike. Things started off badly waiting for the installer who was 1.5 hours late. I had to call the office and chase him down. Typical for this guy apparently, as he was late subsequent days as well. I had told Mike I didn't want any transition pieces in my floor in between rooms as they are ugly, makes it difficult to clean and breaks up the line of the floor. This wasn't communicated to the installer, I now have transition pieces in between 2 rooms. One piece of laminate was installed with a chip in it, and never fixed or repaired as promised. I also have a section of squeaky, bouncy floor. I had ordered baseboards from Mike and the wrong size was installed and the installer joined them with silicone, ever try to paint over silicone? What kind of amateur does that?! It took daily calls to the shop and to his cell (which he never picked up or returned calls) to get the issue fixed and that only happened after a few weeks of frustration that I finally wrote a long email and threatened to go to BBB. Then I got a call back! I finally got the installer back who did a half ass job fixing the bouncy, squeaky floor which now squeaks less as he fixed half of it but stopped a couple of boards short of fixing it completely. As compensation Mike had his painter come paint the baseboards but that too was a lousy job and he had to come back to re-do it. It could still use some work. I had voiced concerns about the flooring going under the dishwasher as well so that it would be level, I was told not to worry about it, that it would be taken care of. It wasn't done properly, the dishwasher immediately shimmied off of the tiny edge it was on and was unlevel. It took my partner a good couple hours to sort it out himself. So other than Mike being charming when you speak to him and saying all the right things, he is a nightmare to get a hold of once you pay, workman ship was not great and it is an exercise in frustration to get anything fixed.

I found the selection at Eurotile great, the prices reasonable and the staff very helpful and recommended a good, very reasonable tiler. They provide free samples, which you don't have to return, which is nice. It saves the hassle.
