10/10

We wanted to have the main floor painted which included popcorn ceilings. Also had the yellow/orange oak so popular in the early 90's which needed an update. Auburn had done some painting where I am employed and was impressed with the quality of the work but I didn't know if they could do oak railings. I asked and was told they did. When having something unusual like this done you want to be sure you are getting a good job so asked for a reference. Called the reference who said Auburn's work was 'perfect'. That assessment is completely accurate. The railing looks amazing, couldn't be happier. Of course, the walls and ceiling look great as well. The kitchen cabinets are only a few years old and go the ceiling. I didn’t want paint on them from doing the ceiling. There wasn’t! In the bathroom, the toilet tissue holder was the kind that was recessed into the wall, another 90’s touch. Mentioned to Tom, the owner, that it would be nice to have the hole dry walled so the old holder could be replaced by the modern version that mounts on the wall. He said he could that what he did. When doing reno’s/updates/improvements it’s convenient and economical to have a contractor who can do a few of the extra things. All marks on the walls were filled and sanded. In fact, they found marks that I didn’t know were there. We had a quote from a well-known painting company which was 50% more than Auburn's. Because I knew the quality of their work combined with the reference, had no concerns going with Auburn. We are completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this company.
