Richard was referred to me to do some plumbing renos in our basement. He came, looked estimated the cost. Later he came and did the initial work which was fine. He then asked for a cheque for the total amount, saying only an hour left to do after renos were completed. I agreed and wrote him the cheque which he then said he wanted in his name and not the company name. I agreed as many companies have a "trade name" only but then he did not give me an invoice as requested. For one month I have been contacting him to finish the work and 5 times he said he would come back and never showed. He will not answer the phone or return calls. As a test after a month of this a friend of mine called him and he immediately returned their call.
