After 2 separate recommendations I contracted Kap-It to redo my existing oak staircase with new treads/risers and to refinish the railings and spindles to match existing flooring. The final result was extremely poorly executed and not what we had signed for. When Kevin came for his payment (we had given him half down) we asked him to fix the deficiencies. He refused saying he was satisfied with the result and threatened us with legal action if we did not settle the amount owing. We have contacted other staircase renovators and were told that it would take at least $5500 to fix his work or have it ripped out altogether and build a new one. Very bad experience!
