I hired Ivan, the owner of Log Depot Inc., for a couple of projects in 2013 after he provided his estimate and promised to solve our problems. The work started on the weekend and took about 3-4 weeks (workers were available mostly on the weekends), because it was done by one or two people at the time and those people were coming and leaving for days to carry out other Ivan's projects elsewhere. I remember making a number of calls to Ivan to find out when will the workers come back to continue renovation. Sometimes he cancelled next visit on a short notice or last minute. I numerously asked for written estimate and invoices, but was told not to worry, because everything will be done as agreed. When the renovation was done the main problem Ivan promised to solve had not been solved. Another project was installation of sound barrier material on a separation wall and replacement basement LED lights. Ivan had given a reasonable estimate, got us "hooked", started the project, then the workers were unavailable for days and after all he tried to charge me four times more than the original estimate pretending that he forgot what it was. Another problem was with LED lights, which Ivan represented as expensive but lasting very long time and covered by his/ Log Depot's lifetime replacement warranty. When three of LED lights he installed burned out early in 2015 and I asked Ivan for the replacement ones, he came up with a number of excuses (e.g. supplier does not have them in stock, supplier is not available, he is too busy to meet with me etc.). After more than 2 weeks of communication I insisted on meeting with him next day at certain time and place in Etobicoke, but Ivan did not show up! I called him a few times but he would not pick up the phone. Next day he called me back and said that he threw the lights away having listened to my voice message. No comments! I hope other customers of Log Depot will have better experience, but, please, I would recommend them to get sound written agreements signed, before giving any business to Ivan and Log Depot Inc.

Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns over the work we did for you in 2013. I was surprised and upset to hear your perception of our work at your home. At Log Depot we pride ourselves on maintaining high standards in both our quality of work and customer satisfaction.

Being a contracting company, we oftentimes work with sub-contractors for specific parts of a build, as they specialize in that particular field. This sometimes means that we do have to accommodate to their schedule and availability. As a result, our employees sometimes have to wait to complete their work, until the sub-contractor can install or finish a task. While this can really alter the time frame for a comprehensive job, our workers try their best to be flexible and strive to complete jobs in a timely manner. I do wish that you would have addressed this issue at the time of the project, as I would have loved the opportunity to try to resolve it in the moment! Keeping our clients informed is the only way to ensure we can meet your expectations, and I apologize if we failed you in this way.

Also, further delays may have been a result of waiting for particular LED Lights, which were out-of-stock with our supplier. This was something that we did attempt to communicate and hopefully you can understand our position in the situation. As soon as these items arrived, we would have been more then happy to get your replacements installed ASAP, however this did not seem feasible due to the communications at that point. Hopefully we can move forward.

We do offer comprehensive written contracts for all jobs upon request, so I am troubled to hear that you felt this was an issue. I also apologize that you feel certain aspects of our service were not up to your standards and we have taken this feedback to continue to improve our daily practices. We wish there was something we could do to regain your trust, and hopefully we can move forward from this situation. Thanks again for your input!
