Miko came to give us a quote about 6 months ago and it was one of 3 we were considering. One painter offered $4500 and another $2100, and Miko came in between. We were on a tight budget and went with the cheaper quote. Big mistake. About 4 days into the job, our place was only primed, a mess and we noticed that he didn't buy the paint we wanted and agreed on. We had an uneasy feeling and decided to ask him to leave. Needless to say some words were exchanged and he refused to give our deposit back stating he had spent it on paint, which wasn't the brand we wanted, and for his time regardless if we were unhappy with his progress. We swallowed that cost and escorted him out. It was about 10pm that night and once we composed ourselves and thought about a solution, we decided to give Miko a shot. We called him immediately and apologized for the late call and explained what happened. He asked if it was okay to come over right away and asses the situation and we were delighted that he offered to do so! In the end, Miko still maintained his price because of the mess he had to clean up, which was understandable and went further to explain that the darker colors needed to be re-primed with a gray base, as well as buy the paint we initially wanted which was Benjamin Moore. All his attention and clarification of what needed to be done put us at ease and made us realize that cheaper isn't always better! We spent $600 more than Miko's original quote by losing it to the other painter, but seeing how Miko transformed our home made it all worth while. We would strongly recommend Miko to anyone on this site, our friends and family! Thank you so much Miko! My wife and I are still so grateful to you and your work! All the best! Jake
