Avalanche is the authorized service repair for Sears Appliances since Sears outsourced their service. Before Sears outsourced we had always had great service from Sears but not any more Our front load washer broke in early August. We contacted Sears on Aug 15 and they dispatched the call to Avalanche who contacted us within the 48 hour window (closer to the 48 side). They then made the first appoint to come check the washer a full 10 days after it had broken. They then ordered the part which Sears advised us was shipped 4 business days later. It is now 15 days since Sears says the part was shipped and Avalanche has still not called to even schedule the appointment to repair. We have called them repeatedly to ask about the part and they say they just received a large shipment and are looking to see if its there and will call us back. They never do. It has been 1 month since the washer broke and we are estimating another several weeks before they even install the part. A family of 5 without a washer for 2 months = never buying from Sears again and this review about Avalanche's service. Sears needs to step up and find other authorized repairers in this area as Avalanche is clearly too busy to effectively service the demand.
