So, yesterday (August 17th, 2014) I had a booking to have my house cleaned. It was recurring at noon. At noon I looked at the appointment online to confirm and it said 1:00 PM. I wasn't going to sweat it but then 1:15 rolls around and I see it still says 1:00. So, I called Handybook.com and reached a fairly enthused person, who was extremely apologetic and offered to reschedule for the following day at 9:00 AM with the guarantee that they would be here - that I was listed as "Top Priority". So, guess what happens? 9:00 AM shows up and no Handybook.com! One might think after standing me up, they wouldn't deceive to me and guarantee me that something is going to definitely happen this time only to have it not happen. Again. But would think wrong with Handybook.com. So I call Handybook.com, again. This time I received a gentleman who obviously could not possibly care less about his job, the company he works for or the "service" Handybook.com "provides". This is where it gets nightmarish. After the gentleman (who I call "the gentleman" because he just answered the phone with "Hello") offers to refund or reschedule with me... Again, I point out what a true professional (you know, someone who had any kind of pride or investment in their job) might have done. Like... Offer free cleanings, move heaven and earth to get someone out here now - anything, literally ANYTHING - but say "I don't have the authority to do that and my manager isn't here." He then hung up on me because I was laughing so hard (because face it, at this point, Handybook.com 's operation is more avant garde performance art than viable business model). If he had not hung up I would have liked to add that, in the future - if Handybook.com is to have any hope of sticking around - it might have it's disgruntled employees do something like CALL their manager in a situation that "doesn't normally happen" and they don't have the authority to resolve. So I told them that I will be posting terrible (and accurate) reviews of Handybook.com on every web site I can find (and of course telling everyone I know what an awful, worthless "business" Handybook.com is), Not that any of them probably care though, right? I mean "this doesn't normally happen"? ~Disgruntled
