First of all the salesman didn't know the product. I wanted thick hips and ridges. He said they don't exist for that product. I find out after the fact that was wrong. When the shingles were delivered (by others), they slid off the roof during a storm. I told Proline not to install any of the several damaged and ripped shingles. More replacements showed up, but the damaged ones were still on site. I told them to take them away so they don't get used. What ended up happening is that the crew used some of these ripped shingles when they came back to re-do some of the roof. The contracted workers left old shingles in the bushes, stuck in the trees, ripped the permanent awning fabric. At my error, I paid Proline before inspecting their work. Once I did check their work, I found the valleys weren't cut clean at all, shingles were installed over top of the hips of the garage, several shingles were melted from walking on them while hot, many nails were put in at a 45 degree angle (making the nail heads hold up the shingles), trimming around the exhaust vents not done... it took 3 or 4 calls for return visits to correct their work. The business owner wouldn't believe his contracted crew would do these things, until I pointed the deficiencies out in person. Overall, it was a big waste of our money to buy a premium 50 year limited lifetime warranty shingle, to be poorly installed. It's still not 100% to this date and it will bug me for the rest of my years in this house. Do yourself a favor, use a different company.
