We hired Bernd to install the ledgestone around our new gas fireplace. Bernd responded quickly, came to our place to look at the space and discuss his approach to the job and some other things we should deal with first. He was professional. informative and courteous, and provided a reasonable estimate very quickly. We was able to do the work the following week. When he encountered some issues with the fireplace unit and the framing he advised us clearly on the problems and was able to fix them for a nominal cost, which he cleared with us first. After correcting the problems he was able to finish the stone work the next day. He also helped us find a carpenter to finish the mantel. His work was of high quality, and he was cleaned and organized throughout the job. We are very happy with the finished product. I would recommend Bernd very highly. He did the job he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and for how much he said he would do it for. He went above and beyond to make sure we would be happy with the result. I would absolutely use him again for this type of work.
