At the start of the relationship David at Ridgecrest blew us away with the customer service. Thereafter things changed. From starting the project late by a month and a half, continually making excuses for running behind (despite the summer being one of the nicest on record) in the work, and over promising and under delivering time and time again, it just didn't end. It seemed like the company had a bag full of excuses for everything. What was supposed to be a 3 week job turned into a 4 1/2 month job. The only time they were ever on time was when they requested payment from us and then they were quick to get to our home!! We were even promised a discount if it went over a certain deadline, which it did by a month, and received nothing. We're now in a position where we're having to have repairs undertaken on all of the work Ridgecrest just did a year ago! Some of the work looked like a forth grade child did it. Oh, I can't forget to mention the mess the crews left behind to the point that I had to call the company and ask that they send someone to clean up our yard since it was littered with nails and old shingles. Stay away from this company unless you have 5 months for all of your repairs to happen and then want to hire someone else to come and fix their mistakes!

Company Response

I'm certain that you cannot produce any legitimate record of trying to contact us on any deficiency in your home following our completion in the first few days of November 2012. In fact the last message from Kiara to our last tradesperson on site, our painter who patiently waited for your extended drawn out decision making on colors so he could complete was "house looks great, good luck getting paid,"

Dan states that the job took 4 1/2 months whereas record from our supplier will confirm the first material on site. The Hardie siding order was delivered last week of August, and that work plus soffit, fascia, trough, masonry, painting, carpentry and roofing were all completed by 3rd week of October, with some final painting and touch up work completed by November 4th 2012 in a fall season that was colder than normal by my read of Environment Canada records.

Your Home Stars "complaints" are frivolous and unfounded and were initiated only following our filing suit to collect a lawful debt on our work that you are both either unwilling or unable to pay.
