Called Ermen on a Friday night as we came home to a clogged drain, both my husband & I work all day. They said it would be an automatic $400 charged to our credit card before they would even start the work. They charge time-and-a-half for after hours calls. They used the auger & charged an additional $80 rental for a tool that they own. The total bill came to $575.00 for a 2-hour service call. I called the office & spoke to Heather. I explained that I only make $14.75/hour. I was hoping to negotiate the bill a little lower as they charged $200/hour labour & I will reiterate that I only make $14.75/hour. They would not even consider negotiating the bill. Also, the plumber got his nose out of joint when we said we could re-install the toilet ourselves. I am not sure why he would think we would want him to do it at $200/hour?!
