To you the reader, If you ever find problems with your garage, just call Garage Ninja. My name is MC, and this was my first time being a customer of Garage Ninja. I must say, it was worth it and I would 1000% recommend them instantly! To give some context, my garage door had experienced an accident where a car had backed into the door before it had fully cleared the doorway, resulting in the bottom plank cracking. Normally, it would be a simple fix; even a full replacement costing ~$800 or so. However, my garage door is more than 30yrs old, and made from natural cedar wood. We went through several companies first and each one gave roughly the same response: itll cost ~$8.5k to replace the entire door. This was way out of our budget so we continued looking. A friend recommended Garage Ninja and provided them with my contact info. Surprisingly, they reached out to me! Ive worked with clients before, and this was a first where the service provider reached out to the client about offering their services. So, I reached out, informed them of my situation, and decided to book an appointment. Within a few minutes, I had an appointment set, the contact info of the serviceman provided, and them a clear understanding of my current situation. On appointment day, the serviceman arrived on time. He introduced himself as Maksym, and was very friendly and professional. He immediately got to work, assessing the garage door, testing the motors, everything. Like the others, he mentioned how much the repair would cost, but unlike the others, he explained the reasons for the repairs, and the significance for why some things are that pricey. But, the most defining reason was that he offered an alternative solution that previous companies didnt even consider: what about replacing just the damaged plank? Maksym, Maks for short, explained that their company can arrange for an exact replica of the damaged wood plank to be created with the same cedar material. To note, initially my family were concerned that the garage door planks wouldnt match due to material issues, but Maks assured me that wont be the case; everything will be exactly the same in material choice and design. Lastly, he also pointed out concerning issues regarding my garage motor and how it might have caused the accident in the first place, and offered to replace both our garage motors with a discount, in which we accepted. I would like to be clear. Companies do give discounts every so often, and Garage Ninja is no exception. However, my family went with Makss recommendation due to the amazing service he provided. He was a wealth of knowledge during the short time I met him: explaining the status of the garage door components, the process hell take to restore them, and how to upkeep and maintain the doors afterwards. He was very comfortable, upfront, and professional to talk with and I felt confident in his ability to repair, support, and handle the damaged garage door and whatever else needs to be done. After replacing the garage motor, we set another appointment for him to come and take the damaged wood plank. Afterwards, it was a matter of waiting until the new wood plank was made, and then to be installed back onto the garage door. About a week later, I got notified that hell be coming by with the new wood plank, and I must say, it looked amazing! Aside from being a bit lighter in color (which staining would solve afterwards), it looked exactly the same as the previous planks in design, material, everything; just as promised. A funny thing happened that day. Due to the situation, Maks advised us to paint the plank first before he installs its. This would make it look nicer and easier instead of after it being installed, and then having to paint through the cracks of the planks. We agreed, and due to schedules, my family would take care of the paint job while Maks goes to another client and comes back afterwards to install the plank. Andwe did a terrible job of it. When Maks came back, he could tell we had no idea how to paint. So, he decided to help us out and paint it himself! (Again, Ill mention, not only did the serviceman come to complete the assigned job, but he stepped out of his expectations to support the client with a task he didnt necessarily have to do. Never, have I ever had this treatment from any other business contractors before. So once again Ill emphasize, Maks is AMAZING!) With his help, the paint job was complete, but it had to dry overnight first. We rescheduled for the next day for him to come by and finally install the plank. Tomorrow arrived, and as scheduled, Maks came on time to my residence. Assessing the plank to ensure it was dry and ready, he got to work and installed it within a few hours. It looked AMAZING! Once the weather warms up, it will be stained and possibly painted, and itll look almost exactly as the garage door before the accident. My family also had a few additional requests that followed afterwards such as replacing the bottom retainers to the doors, and Maks was happy to oblige. He detailed the costs upfront so we knew exactly what we were paying for and what to expect as well as the length of time for the requests. Another appointment was scheduled for the following week. Unfortunately, I had gotten sick on the next appointment day, and was unable to be present when Maks showed up. However, he kept me informed about any potential issues, and updated me when necessary. To put into context how difficult this was for Maks, my parents who were present had a language barrier and so, did not fully understand what and how Maks was doing things. However, Maks was patient in his process. He tried his best to demonstrate to my parents his methods and when he encountered a wall, he did the next best thing, which was to contact me to be the mediator in which I explained to my parents, which helped everyone in the end. (Words cannot describe how much of an ordeal this was, so I thank Maks for his patience and understanding in dealing with this matter professionally). After the job was completed and Maks left, I came by the residence to take a look and as expected, it looked AMAZING! To put into perspective, this entire work order from beginning to end lasted for ~3 weeks. It was three weeks worth of time getting to know Maks, watching him work, and most importantly, learning from him the essentials and knowledge in now maintaining my garage doors. Though money can pay for the hard work and effort he put towards completing my familys job, the experience, knowledge, and companyI gained from Maks is something no amount of money can ever buy. During the brief time I knew him, Maks was professional in his work, courteous to my family and myself, upfront about providing information on anything, patient in explaining to my parents, very knowledgeable about his trade, and above all, passionate in completing the job to its best state possible. I believe he is an essential asset to his company, a gem for sure, and that Garage Ninja is very lucky and fortuitous to have Maks working for them, as I am lucky to have met him; brief as it was. Thank you for all the hard work youve done for us. Myself and my family are really appreciative of everything. Thank you. So, to you readers, if youd ask me if I would recommend Garage Ninja, I would say DEFINETLY!!!. Garage Ninja strives for excellence in the service it provides, and Maksym is the very definition of it!
