I had superior appliance come over to look at my oven that wasn't working properly. I explained what was happening and then he asked me to start the oven so he could check all the electrical stuff on the back. After looking at it all, he said it was all working well so maybe it was the thermostat inside the oven. So I asked if he could check that and he said he would have had to check it when it was cold. So I asked if he would come back another day to check it then since he overlooked it and he said not unless you want to pay me again. So with his best guesses being either a pricey circuit or the thermostat that he couldn't assess, we decided to try the thermostat first since the price was better. I was annoyed but paid the $100 he asked for that day. His direct quote was "don't worry, I'm not going to leave you high and dry" and that the $100 would go towards my part. He told me he would research the part and get back to me with a price before he ordered. He then called me weeks later to tell me my part was in. When I mentioned that I would I was going to hear a quote first, he said he thought I wanted to go ahead. That was fine, even if it did go against what he said. I asked the price and he said $181. I said perfect. When can we meet so I can pay the remainder on the part. He asked what I meant and I told him my husband could install it but that I would meet him to pay the $81 remainder. He immediately became very evasive, said he was so busy, is always on the road and couldn't possibly come up with a time to schedule me in at the moment and would get back to me. I called him every day, many times multiple times a day for almost 3 weeks. He answered me 3 of those times and each time gave me the same story. I offered to meet him on the driveway of the house he was heading to right now. I offered to meet him at home or a gas station close to home after he was done. He always said, I'll get back to you. Never did. On Thursday I called and explained my frustration to an answering machine. I was upfront telling him I would be posting this review if I hadn't been able to make an appt by the end of Friday. No call back and didn't answer when I called twice friday. So here we are. I am out $100, my time and I haven't been able to properly cook for my small children in a month and a half. My husband on Friday night went and bought the part cheaper on Amazon and we will have the repair done in less than a week. I should have NEVER CALLED HIM in the first place. What a waste of time and energy. 0/10 recommend.
