I had all the windows (including a bay window) and the patio door of a 2-storey detached house replaced with Argon-filled, low-e coated, double glazed PVC units (wood interior trims) from North Shield Windows this summer, and am very pleased with the choice. The sales person was straight talking and very knowledgeable. We discussed double vs triple glaze and different low-e coating on the glass with respect to cost, energy performance (both summer and winter) and government rebate implications. We also discussed choice of awning vs casement window for different situations (window sizes, locations and usage). I was advised of the realistically long wait period of 3 months. I had obtained 5 different quotes and I felt the interactions with North Shield Windows was the best. Their quote was not the cheapest but in line with others of similar (I felt) quality. Installation took place in the time as promised. The installation crew was most efficient and did a good job. The crew of 3 worked from 9 am to 8 pm and was able to complete all installations. The workmanship was good (inside and outside) and only very minor touch-ups were necessary to the paintwork around one or two of the windows (I had expected more extensive touch-up work). Everything worked smoothly without any problem. Highly recommended.
