6/10

Shams fixed my chimney and would have received a better review except for a couple of things. 1) Some garbage (leftover wood scraps and larger pieces) were left. 2) No chimney cap was installed. I noticed that there wasn't one installed after Shams left and reached out to him. He wrote that I declined the chimney cap but I pointed out that I wouldn't have declined only to follow up about it afterwards. So now I have to figure out a way to get to the top of the chimney to install a cap, which is quite difficult given the height. Or I hire someone to do it for a considerable amount. It is unfortunate that the job finished unfinished as far as I'm concerned because the chimney repair looks good, except it needs a chimney cap.

$1,700.00

Company Response

Hi Erez,

1) I am really sorry that the clean-up was not up to the mark. I and my team will definitely try to improve.
2) Unfortunately, your decision of having a rain cap (not a chimney cap, a new chimney cap is installed) on the flute tile was after we had wrapped up the work and disassembled a 30 feet scaffolding. If there was a way to use a ladder to install the rain cap, I would have considered it, however, because of the closeness of the fence and the tall trees, it is/was extremely unsafe and I have to consider the safety of myself and my crew. I really wish I could have reached a solution acceptable to you.
3) I am glad and satisfied that you like the work.

Thank You.
