For those interested, more a customer service consideration (no dollars we're actually exchanged). I posted a service request which was responded to by K&K being "interested". I provided a pretty detailed summary of what I was looking for, and K&K offered to come see the property in relation to the job to better understand the work. I provided a window for the following week as a starting point, K&K didn't acknowledge but asked for more images which I sent, and following that K&K stopped correspondence without any rationale. These are certainly unique times, and we have to be understanding of decisions from service providers to not take on a job that they may initially be open to for various reasons (ie. too busy for the season, safety due to lockdown restrictions and so on). We had responses from other providers who couldn't take on our landscaping job, which were valid and respectable as well as some who were happy to help but had other processes/priorities which they made clear, but full stop on communication altogether without cause is questionable from a business - especially one who is using a platform like Homestars. We now have another provider servicing our property (so what we were looking for wasn't unrealistic), but if we couldn't get a simple yes/no through the messaging platform on Homestars who served K&K with the job opportunity, I'd be concerned about customer service in the event unexpected challenges happened during a job.

I'm really sorry for your bad experience with us. Unfortunately, at the time of your request the Home Stars app did not work and we haven't received any notifications. Luckily it's now fixed and we hope we can be at your service in the future.
