We hired studio stairs to supply the staircase for a new home. At first they were helpful and accommodating, always promising the best and being prompt. However, because this is new construction, the stairs were covered up for several months as other work was going on. As soon as the covers came off the stairs, so did the thin veneer of quality. The product came from the shop with damage, including prominent saw marks. The repairs done - including multiple visits - were incomplete and in some cases made things worse. The owner, "Mark" (which is not his real name), was unreliable in getting a solution. I always got the run around, always getting promises that were then broken. None of the sub-trades seem to work directly for the company, despite the owner's promises to the contrary. In fact, over the many months of interaction with the owner, I got the distinct impression I was being told whatever would appease me for the next few days, whether true or not. Eventually I gave up. Now I'm left with a sub-standard product that is hard to repair, and no accountability for the poor workmanship. Would not recommend. This is the sort of company that damages the reputation of the construction industry.

We understand there was some damages to the stairs. We are uncertain of the cause the damages. We do inspect all stairs before the leave the factory, so we presume it happened during the install or during the construction of the house. No matter the cause , we sent tech's multiple times to fix the issues but our efforts and repairs were not accepted by you. Our final solution was to to do a total swap of the stairs. Our offer still stands.
