We purchased a fridge for our cottage and after 3 months of use it was turned off for the winter as the property was closed. Upon plugging it in the next summer it did not work and Sears would not fix or replace it because we had not purchased an extended warranty. Finally, a local repair person who we paid for told us it was in the sealed system and Sears did have to replace it. They did, grudgingly, having never mentioned this aspect of the original warranty. We spoke to an endless list of people with Sears to get satisfaction and will never purchase with them again.
