We gutted the house and added an addition. Because we are located on the water, privacy is not a consideration. We needed black out window coverings for the bedrooms and coverings to keep out the hot sun in summer. We did not the view obstructed. The waffle blinds that we got are perfect. They are subtle and effective. We were very happy with the advice we got from Mark and with his efficiency in installation.
