New Home

We would never deal with Bremont homes again! The dream of a luxury custom build in Kings Manor Estates was total ruined by this money grabbing unprofessional builder. The signs were there on the offset beginning with the contract, read this carefully! You get inconsistent messages, price increases and additional charges are being made wherever they can and there is NO room to negotiate, you will lose. I can’t believe that he would ever get a good review; they have no value for you as a customer or your money. We have spent so much and are living a nightmare, don't do the same.

Terrible, just terrible design and finishing

I second-hand purchased a townhouse in Derry Chase community. The exterior looks quite presentable, but the finishing inside is terrible.

LAYOUT
Room / bathroom layout is quite moronic.
1. Our master bath has an elongated rectangular layout. On one side it has a hole-in-the-wall shower, and on the other - small-size bathtub (without shower) on the other. That barely leaves space for a toilet and small cabinet+sink - and nothing else - for a master! bathroom. The bathtub is too small to fill and relax. The shower is claustrophobic. The towels are across from the door from the shower - there is no place to hang it closer, so every time the floor is guaranteed to be wet.

They could've extended the bathroom or removed either the shower or the bathtub to make more room. The master bedroom has thus unnecessary corners.

2. The stairs is a main feature of a townhouse. The living room stairs, instead of having an L shape to create a natural boundary, lands right in the couch-or-tv area of the living room, meaning that you can't quite put anything too close there. It "breaks" the flow of the living room and makes it effectively smaller.

3. The entrance is only door-wide and door-and-a-half long (then the stairs start). Thus, one can barely enter and close the door before starting to take the shoes off. If you carry groceries or if 2 people need to enter, everyone waits for the first person to take the shoes off first to proceed, while the door is open. We have Canadian winters!!!

4. Light switches are another highlight of the design. Living room has 2 lights; one is in proper place, the other is on the opposite wall near a corner away from entrance or stairs or anything. To get to dining area you pass the kitchen, but the light switch is in a corner behind an 1-foot wall extrusion (not visible from the entrance). With our rather small dining table, we need to move chairs around in order to reach it. If I was actively trying to place the switch as out of the way as possible, the only other contender would be the balcony.

5. The smallest bathroom is another gem. It's only slightly wider than the toilet, and the toilet is facing... the mirror.. in case you need to look at yourself while going about your business.

FINISHES
1. Stair finishing it terrible, especially in the corners and junctions. Someone was probably in a hurry to finish and didn't want to spend the extra time. Mid-way up, near the ceiling, the rails have to become narrower - the transition is clumsily done, not to mention that this is a design flaw.

2. Where things could align, they don't. Wall under the stairs could have been higher to meet the stairs stringer, or extend further. No. Instead, it stops just before and goes up about 10".

3. The main entrance on the outside has all the utility meters. There is no way to personalize it at all. Why not position it near the back door?

4. Ugly transition from hardwood floors of the living to tiles in the kitchen.

5. Too many other little annoyances, borne out of poor planning and finishing.

It reminds me of a government website - shiny on the outside, but not thought through and buggy on the inside. I design products and experiences for a living. This house is the anti-thesis to everything I do.

Why did I buy it then? When buying second-hand one can choose only from in-market selection and needs to weigh tons of other factors (price, schools, neighbourhood, timing, etc...). Not everything is immediately clear when visiting during open house.

West Brampton Site

There are some reviews on both ends of the spectrum here about Bremont. I want to be honest and fair when I say that I have experienced my own ups and downs during my purchase from the West Brampton site. I have bought 3 homes before this one. All from large builders that churn out hundreds of homes in each development, and I was used to the way they delivered a home. They had their process tight and all the “T”s crossed and ”I”s dotted but It all felt very cold and transactional. And although the houses were nice they were a bit blah in hindsight.

None the less this big corporate process was all that I knew, so I did have some frustrations when dealing with a smaller, higher end builder. It wasn’t exactly the same as I had experienced before. There were issues with paperwork, disagreements with the owner, and even some mistakes made inside the house during construction. Of course all of this caused my wife and I some stress.

This is where my experience stands out and where I have felt my “highs” with Bremont. The people behind the Bremont name, the ones that you actually work with from purchase to closing ( Tamara décor, Alicia office manager, Tony, Vince and Luke at the sight) are amazing and they all truly care about delivering your dream home. They seem to take it personally when the purchaser is stressed or unhappy (And don’t forget we are buying homes, sometimes expensive, potentially a long term dream home… so of course it will be stressful). Even Gary the owner got on the phone personally with me when I raised concerns. We didn’t always agree at the start of our conversations but in the end he made sure I was happy.

They entire team has gone above and beyond to make sure that things get done properly and if a mistake is made, that its corrected to my satisfaction. Not just one of them, but each and every one of them in their own way, about work they can influence alone, or together as a team. They have met me on weekends, last minute, late in the evenings, at the site when I had concerns. I felt included, and that they were all on my side and didn’t want to let me down.

And then there is the actual house. No matter what the other reviewers are frustrated about (which are legit concerns mind you), there is no denying that these guys know how to deliver a beautiful home. From the moment we walked into the model it was clear that this builder is different. The house just charmed the pants of you, but it wasn’t just the expensive upgrades. It was all the attention to detail. Our home is well laid out, has good standard materials, amazing exterior designs, and more. But all that still doesn’t cover it. There’s something intangible about the overall quality and design, you just have to walk through the house to feel it. We have three kids and we were looking for a place to stay put for up to 20 years and this house just crossed off so many items on our wish list. We feel like our house is a work of art and the street stands out from all the others around it.

I’m in sales role at work, and my customers often say that we want to do business with companies that not only deliver on the agreement, but along the way can show flexibility, and value the relationship, ultimately looking for a partnership instead of a transaction. I can say that my experience with Bremont and my new home fits this description very well!

New Home

This is the worst builder I have ever dealt with. Buying a house from Bremont was the worst decision I have ever made in my life. I'm finding it hard to believe that the good reviews on here are legitimate because everyone I have met in my community has been disappointed multiple times by this builder. The president does not care at all about satisfying the customer. You can buy a home from Bremont but don't say I didn't warn you!

New home purchase

This is what Bremont says
Bremont said that they offer top quality and dedicated customer service -not true.
Thus with our home building company Bremont Homes we have earned the confidence and respect of thousands of homeowners in prime locations across the Greater Toronto area. They are losing the respect of the homeowners that bought home in Noblewood, Brampton

At Bremont Homes, we go above and beyond what our purchasers expect – Again not true they promise but never delivers, you will get a house with allot of major items missing i.e. counter tops, tiles, hardwood flooring, painting, doors, for weeks/months they will not install these items.

Approximate cost of services:
$1,000,000.00
