Lux Cleaning

After months of struggling to keep on top of the housework at our new home, we found LUX on-line and arranged for the owner, Allan, to come over for an initial meeting and assessment. Admittedly, my wife and I have always been somewhat skeptical about using a cleaning service after hearing so many unpleasant stories from family and friends which usually include complaints about reliability and the inevitable deterioration in the quality of work. As a couple of “neat freaks”, we were immediately impressed that Al took time to go through our home room-by-room, asked very detailed questions in an effort to better understand our priorities, and was able to provide good answers to our probing questions about how they would care for the marble and hardwood floors, and clean those hard-to-reach nooks and crannies. Al then sent us a proposal which included an outline for a one-time "detail" cleaning followed by a schedule for "maintenance" cleanings every two weeks thereafter.

We were thrilled with the sparkling results of the “detail” cleaning. No complaints, no damage to my A/V equipment, which I have never trusted anyone else to touch, much less clean. The 10-person team was punctual, polite, professional, and very hardworking. Sara, the team leader was excellent and quite conscientious; she made sure all items on the comprehensive list were addressed and kept things running like clockwork. She then gave us a tour of all they had done, before leaving for the day. Every room was thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom - the light fixtures gleam and the baseboards are spotless. They even managed to find some of the dried slobber our dog had slung onto the most unlikely spots.

So impressed were we with the quality of work and the management skills of Sara, the team leader, that we requested that she be part of the 2-person team assigned to our bi-weekly maintenance cleanings. If that wasn’t enough, when she came for our first maintenance cleaning, she demonstrated her skill and expertise in dealing very effectively with our 160-pound, 16 month-old, very curious dog.

The quality and attention to detail LUX offers is truly impressive. It emanates from the top down. The owner, Al, struck us as a perfectionist himself. He gives each client his personal attention, provides a comprehensive training course to every employee, and finds talented team leaders. In short, he set out to build a better mousetrap, and did it. I can usually find things to criticize. Not this time. I give LUX the strongest possible endorsement.

I just wanted to take a moment to praise the friendly, professional and thorough team that Lux sent to us. They were wonderful.

My home has never looked so good: The windows are sparkling, the wood is gleaming and you can actually see the grout in my husband's shower again.

LUX provides a team of cleaners to come in and clean my house, top to bottom. They are always punctual, neatly presented and friendly. They are a professional company, so the staff are all bonded and insured. They bring in their own cleaning equipment and products, and they've never broken anything. I've been very happy with their service and would readily recommend them to my friends.

We are a busy family who live in a big house, and my wife is a clean freak. About two months ago, we started hiring Lux for bi-weekly cleaning based on their excellent reviews on Homestars. The owner Allan is meticulous with his staff training and cleaning proposal, and he puts together a fantastic rotational plan to clean even the sometimes neglected areas of the house. We get the same cleaners every time, Lia and Michelle, and they are so hardworking and wonderful in every way. Both are extrememly professional and polite, and they work very hard from the moment of arrival to make our house spotlessly clean and shine, with 100% consistency every time. We feel very fortunate to have found this company, even our cat Miko loves the ladies! They really are the best.

We have been a client of LUX for two years, and we cannot recomend any higher. Al and his team are consumate professionals, and truly treat our Riverside home with white glove service.

I have used Lux for both occasional deep cleans of my house as well as a scheduled weekly cleaning service. I have nothing but great things to say about the quality of the work, the well trained, polite cleaning teams and the level of of customer service. It may cost a little more than hiring a cleaning person however the results are worth it.

Allan and his team are amazing and so polite. They do such a wonderful job and never miss a detail. Definitely worth every penny! I wouldn't recommend anyone else in the city.

We are really pleased with the recent post renovation - spring clean we had done. First, the meeting with Al helped us really focus on what needed to be done and what was fine as is. With respect to the cleaning, Lux's attention to detail was incredible - the appliances are spot free, windows are perfectly clean, dust has been removed from all the nooks and crannies of furntiure, scuff marks were removed. Also - Lux really made an effort to accomodate our (ever changing) renovation schedule. It was an awesome job.
