The Home Improvement People did a fantastic job on our renovation! We have an older Toronto home. It was a larger project that involved converting an office into a bathroom, adding a sliding door, completely renovating the kitchen, updating the fireplace, etc. What we appreciated most was that the project was done within a reasonable timeframe, there was work going on fairly consistently, and they were great at communicating and responding to questions. The final result looks really great. Thank you!

We had a really good experience with Home Improvement People. They completed our basement renovation within the estimated timeframe and for the quoted amount. The project involved renovating a really old basement, so any of the items that they thought might be an issue once they started the project were discussed in advance. Carlos, did a great job managing the project, keeping us updated on progress, trades scheduling and confirming any projects details with us. They were easy to work with. We're happy with the end result and would definitely work with them again.

The company was great. The two gentlemen who worked on my bathroom did great work. They were efficient, polite, and professional. I am very pleased with the result.

My master bathroom was totally dysfunctional for me. Dark, tiny shower stall, much too deep bath tub and no linen cupboard. I contacted Home Improvement People and from the initial contact I was very happy. We agreed on the new bathroom design (removal of bath tub, construction of large walk in shower, installation of linen cupboard, new vanity, lighting, tiles etc.). I worked with their designer Charlotte who assisted with the acquisition of all the materials in the autumn of 2021. Work started in late January 2022 and was largely completed in less than two weeks. The only remaining things were the installation of the linen cupboard and the glass for the shower enclosure. I am very happy with every aspect of the new bathroom. I now have a bright, modern and functional space. Thank you to Nicolai and John who actually did the work and Charlotte for her assistance.

Were awestruck once again! This is our third basement reno for three different houses with Home Improvement People (HIP) and even though we knew we could count on quality workmanship, the HIP team outdid themselves once again. It started with Elia stepping through our vision late last year and making recommendations on room placement, materials, and finishes that would meet our needs and offering a competitive quote. Elia was even able to accommodate it when we moved up our reno by one month.

On Day 1 of our reno project, we were assigned to one of their superstar Project Managers, Carlos, who quickly understand the plan and saw to it that all our needs were met. Carlos went the extra mile to ensure all the subs delivered the same high quality of workmanship that weve come to expect from the HIP. Carlos wasnt afraid to ask questions or provide his professional opinion and on those rare instances where we were not completely satisfied, Carlos made the required changes no questions asked. Elia initially told us that the project would take 8 to 10 weeks to complete, but Carlos was able to finish the project in 7 weeks. We would most definitely use the Home Improvement People again for any major renovation and recommend them to our friends. They delivered superior quality workmanship with superb finishes on time and on budget. Thank you Home Improvement people for blowing us away once again!

We hired the home improvement people for the total basement bathroom renovation - redoing the whole floor, ceiling, shower, and vanity. Labour cost was $15000 and the rest were the material cost. Slavic and Raphael did the construction daily from the start to finish in a total of 8 days. Slavic and Raphael's worked very hard and paid attention to the detail, quality, and was very considerate of our style and preference. At the end, the renovation was a total success and we are very satisified with how it turned out. I would hire Gerhard and his team in the future for any new renovations.

We hired the HIP to complete a floor to ceiling remodeling of our main floor (approx 1300 square ft) which took about a month from start to finish. The finished product is simply world class and we couldn't be happier with our decision to hire them.

In this job we required the services of a variety of trades, who were expertly coordinated. Going into this, we needed help with essentially all aspects of the design, planning, and coordination of the trades people as we both work and could not afford the time to handle it ourselves. The design phase was very customer friendly and they were able to clearly explain what options would work best, which we should reconsider and other ideas that simply would not work without adding a significant cost (we first had the idea to move a wall which turned out to be a load bearing wall). The choice of designs and finishes for the kitchen were laid out excellently and included many luxurious options. Once we made our decisions on what we wanted to do we signed the contract and got the start date foe the job. We first approached them mid-late 2021 and work began in March 2022.

To begin the job they had to remove all existing baseboard, flooring, kitchen cabinets, and gutted the powder room. From there they completed a repair of the walls, installed new subfloor, and moved some of the electrical and plumbing in the kitchen as we wanted to move the sink and dishwasher.

Once the demo and repairs were done they installed new hardwood and tile throughout the entire floor, put in new baseboard and painted.

The kitchen itself involved new cabinets, a custom built pantry, and a custom dry bar for the adjoining dining room. The craftsmanship for the focal point of our home is nothing short of exemplary. We are in awe at how amazing the final product looks and would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone who wishes to remodel or update their home.

Since the day the work started it was obvious that each of the subcontractors cared deeply about their work and their attention to detail. They were friendly and efficient and should be proud of the work they've done. I also wanted to note that any deficiencies (which were very few and minor) were addressed and corrected within days, a testament to their prioritization of customer service above all else.
