Mike, the owner of the company has been servicing our furnace and air conditioning for several years. He is dependable, reliable and always gives us solid information on maintaining our heating & cooling system. Repairs when required are done right without any need for callbacks. I would recommend Mike to anyone I know.

Derek arrived on time, gave us great advice on what needed to be done. When it came time to do the work, he arrived with a full crew and the work was done fast. Everything was clean and tidy. Another tree service had recommended less work and their fee was much higher .... talk to Derek.

Great service, friendly, clean and reliable. I have called this same company for various projects over the past few years and will continue to do so. Concrete, old wood, garage contents ... it's all gone at a fair price.

Called Direct Energy to ask when the technician would arrive; first customer service agent says he does not know; supervisor says he does not know and finally after waiting on hold for 20 min - told the same thing by a customer service manager. It's like dealing with the phone company or airline - customers at Direct Energy seem to be a problem; something to consider when comparing quotes.

New Canadian Drain & Plumbing got the job done … Our home had a wet basement and had been worked on by at least three contactors of the years – each promising to “fix it right.” Decided to call New Canadian to get the drains video scoped, to see what was going on without anymore guessing. The weeping tile was not connected to anything, the end of the drain just opened up into a hole and the rest of the site was the same. New Canadian sent in a team; they removed everything, re-waterproofed the basement, new weeping tile and connected the drains. The morning they started the plumber was there bright and early to get clearances for digging and the crew started 30 minutes later. When they finished the worksite was clean and basement dry. Hard working, fast and effective; very professional. Great job and thanks to everyone on the crew.

Facing the fact is alot easier then default by guessing. Sending a camera down the whole is the best way to play hide and go seek. Thank you for choosing New Canadian Drain & Plumbing.

Consider these words very carefully … get another quote. Our basement was “waterproofed” last Aug. this spring it leaked, called Gord’s and they did patch a section of the basement wall – repairing their previous work. The basement leaked again, called Gord’s got no real answers. Nice guys but I wanted answers. Called in a plumbing company with a video scope … weeping tile attached to NOTHING. The basement would always be wet because the drain was not attached. Total bill $10,000 plus. Seriously get another quote.

I find it very interesting that someone who has never recieved a quote from us is recommending that people get another quote. The person who wrote this reveiw had our warranty transfered over to him by the previous homeowners and thus was not present during the estimate or subsequent job. The job consisted of waterproofing the block foundation and seal plate of a crawl space (approx. 35 ft.). It was clearly explained to the original owner that there could be a problem with the weeping tile and we would replace it within the 35ft. section where we were waterproofing the walls but if the rest of the weeping tile was clogged there would be additional work required. After excavation was completed and the condition of the weeping tile confimed to be inadequate this point was again reiterated with the original home owner. The owner had no interest in doing the additional work to correct the weeping tile so no quote was given. She recieved a 25 year tranferable warranty on the walls and seal plate. There was a problem reported to us by the new home owner with water entering the crawl space under the door seal. As this was covered under warranty we dispatched a service man promptly who corrected the problem. A few weeks after this we were contacted by the genetlemen in question complaing about water coming in from the floor level. I personal told him that there was an issue with the weeping tile and additional work would be required to correct the problem. I gave him two options: 1)continue the replacement of weeping tile out to the street or 2) Install a sump pump in the crawl space to tap the 35ft of weeping tile which were already replaced into. He seemed more concerned with getting us to dig up the original area that we had waterproofed ( which would have solved nothing) then actually getting a quote from us to fix the problem. We then had Gord and a workman come out on a weekend to dig out a section just to prove to him that we had replaced the weeping tile in the area where we had worked and show him the problem with the weeping tile in the area where we had not. He must have understood because upon arrival he declined to have us excavate. It is obvious that he got his answers, additional work was needed in order to correct the drainage for the weeping tile. The genetleman in question seemed more concerned with getting us to solve the problem for free or getting the previous home owner to pay for the work then actually getting a quote to repair the problem. It is a unfortunate situation that the original homeowner left him. I'm glad that he had the weeping tile issue corrected but as of date he has neither recieved of requested a quote for the additional work required. Our policy on weeping tile is clearly explained at the time of the quote. As this person was not the home owner and thus not present when the quote wss given he was obviously not aware of the possibilty that additional work may be required. This is the first "complaint" that the company has had in a almost 30 years of service but considering the circumstances there was not much more that we could have done. We provide quality service and workmanship backed by a 25 year written warranty. I have hundreds of references avaliable upon request. Call for your free estimate today!

Purchased a 40+ year home just a few weeks ago, which the home inspector said was in great shape. Invested in a completely new kitchen (complete to the studs renovation) in solid cherry. Kitchen was finished and 2 days later water came pouring in through the ceiling and walls. Wow! Complete devastation, I had never seen water coming out of an electrical outlet before. Once bitten twice shy – the search for the absolute best roofing company in the GTA was begun. Quality was the only measure. In came the experts of Better Contacting Services and things started to happen: A) temporary repair completed within hours (great effort) and B) complete new roof installed days later. The entire crew was professional and neat. They arrived and got straight to work and when they were finished they were cleaned up and gone just as quickly. In fact I went to say thanks and the crew, the bin and trucks were gone. Overall a superior roofing job; many of the original house design flaws were corrected, roofing materials upgraded, and the venting system reworked. Roof decking replaced, eves re-hung, exhaust fan relocated and upgraded. We were very fortunate to be referred to Better Contacting Services and will always be grateful for the team that spent two days in frigid February temperatures fixing our home. It’s now safe, sound and dry. Thanks. P.S. Is it wrong to love a roof?
