Install of tub/shower faucet
A review for WaterWorks Plumbing and Drains, Inc.
I needed to have a three handled tub faucet converted to a one handle faucet for a bathroom reno. Michael and Rocco were very patient and helpful in explaining what they would do. They also provided great advice on other things related to the bathroom reno. The job was done quickly and they left the work area clean and wore covers on their shoes while in the house. The cost was a little more than I was expecting but with plumbing you want to be sure you hire someone who knows what they are doing. And with a 100% money back guarantee how could I go wrong? It is great to know they stand behind their work 100%. I will use them again for any plumbing/drain needs.

Front porch, steps and walkway
A review for Burl-Oak Landscaping
We had our front porch and walkway done this summer. Very pleased with the way everything looks. We have had many positive comments from people in the area. The team worked hard and completed the project in one day as they promised.

A review for Ludwig Paving Co-
I contacted Ludwig based on the great reviews on HomeStars. William came out and spent time with us telling us in detail what we could expect from them for the paving of our driveway. We specifically asked about the edge of the driveway and William assured us that they would pave with a 'flat' edge instead of an 'angled' edge. He told us that the 'flat' edge would be stronger and last longer. Many of our neighbours have the 'angled' edge and their driveways are starting to crumble around the edges, which we wanted to avoid. Overall we are happy with the work done but the 7 rating is for the following reasons. William called to arrange a time for the prep of the driveway. He confirmed a time and then was 5 hours late. When I called their office, they knew nothing about the delay and told me to call William on his cell. Once I got a hold of him, he confirmed they were on the way. It would have been nice to at least get a phone call instead of having to wait all day for them to show up. Then to schedule the paving, William called one afternoon, asked if it would be ok to have the paving done the next day as they had a cancellation and could squeeze us in, I said sure! He confirmed they would be here by 9 am the next day and I told him they needed to be done by noon as I had an appointment and would have to leave. Again, they were late, they didn't arrive until almost noon and I was late for my appointment. Again, no phone call from William. Then once they started paving, they started to angle the edges. I reminded him that we had discussed and confirmed our driveway would have the flat edges. He then told me the angle edges are my only option because my grass is too low for a flat edge once the asphalt was put down. I am frustrated and disappointed that we didn't get what we originally discussed with William. In my opinion, William should have known and realized that the level of the grass was going to be an issue when he came out to provide us with the quote. And he was the one who recommended the flat edges in our initial discussion.
Company Response:
Hi Michelle, I'm sorry you had this experience. We're usually very punctual; it's rare for us to be one hour late, let alone five hours late for an appointment. You're right: William should have called to tell you. I'm sure he squeezed you in the next time because he felt bad. Sometimes, even with the best intentions, things don't turn out as planned. As for the edges, I'm surprised William missed that. Low grass levels can't hold a flat edge. In any case, I assure you that with flat or angled edges, they are almost always the first things to deteriorate without a solid curb holding the pavement in. Nonetheless, you were told one thing and received another. For that, I am sorry. I have taken your review to heart and will talk to the staff so that clients don't get treated the same way. Finally, thanks for taking the time to write this review. We never hassle our clients to write them, nor do we offer discounts for them, so we really appreciate it when people take time out of their day to write about us -- positive or negative.
