My Move to Toronto ON

I hired Trans Canada Movers to move my Furniture from surrey BC to Toronto ON. The move went smooth from start to finish accept they were two days late. Not a big deal. I was so happy to see my belongings arrive safe and sound in my new place. I would highly recommend This great company.

Thank you Trans Canada

Moving services

"Total Commitment to Quality Service" is their motto, which seems kind of ironic following my experience with TransCanada Movers. I would have rated this company much higher if it were not for the absolutely horrendous attitude/service received by one of their reps, Margaret. It took over 5 weeks to move my things (studio apartment) from Vancouver to Montreal. My stuff was over-weighed by approx. 300 lbs. So if you do decide to go with this company, have yours stuff weighed elsewhere prior to shipping with them.
Spotty communication/email, and a lack of transparency and accountability (ie my things were delivered by a 'partner' company with an 'F' Better Business Bureau rating).
Make sure to get a written quote, and ask to see a copy of their contract prior to your moving day, so there are no surprises. They only cover up to $0.60 per pound for any loss or damage. And there is a $350 deductible to file for loss or damage. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because of reasons listed above. It was only after that complaint and a yelling match with 'ol Margaret that the company offered me a 'discount', charging me for what my furniture ACTUALLY weighed. Moving guys on Vancouver end were great - efficient and friendly. Another bonus - everything but my bicycle (de-railer was broken during move) arrived in good condition, and the delivery guys were even 15 minuted earlier than scheduled.
I'm happy to read that some had a great experience with this company, and I hope future customers receive better service than I did.

moving across canada

It's been almost couple of months from when I left a very bad review about the company. I had a lost baggage and some damaged goods, and a very terrible customer service. However, they went out of their way to ensure the quality of their service is not jeopardized. They found my bag, send me a check for my loss, and send me a letter taking ownership for what happened. So, they definitely handled the situation very well.

Move

Hello,
Once again I have not heard anything from you in regards to the weight of our furniture and the expected arrival time of our furniture. I am very concerned about the lack of follow through and communication on your part. I get no comfort when I call you and hear about how busy you all are and how you are understaffed. You were persistent when picking up our furniture that it occur on the date that it was agreed upon (June 11, 2015) or there would be additional charges. It is now the end of June and we have been waiting for more than a week to get our furniture delivered. The trip from Los Angeles to Kelowna takes 3 days not three weeks. This is costing me real money on my side, which I am guessing will not be covered by you which puts me in a very difficult situation. Please understand that, while I have tried to be accommodating the lack of service has become a concern and a monetary cost to me. Can you please send me the name and email address/phone number of the person who owns Transcanada Movers. Beginning today I will expect your company to compensate me for any out of pocket costs that I have incurred while awaiting your delivery of our furniture.

moving company

I had an absolutely terrible experience with transcanada.

I scheduled a move from vancouver to toronto mid april. I was told to expect my things the week of the 23. Which was fine. However from the beginning I had to be constantly getting in touch with them for confirmation. I was waiting for a time confirmation for the movera to pick my belongings up. I ended up having to call them.
The vancouver movers were great. They came on time and moved everything quickly. I paid the deposit and was told I would receive an email from the contact as to my remaining balance. That confirmation never came. I had to email them for confirmation 2 weeks after my move. They told me to expect my things in Mississauga shortly.

Now it is mid may. I sent ANOTHER email asking for my things. I was very angry. I was made aware that my things had been sitting in storage for 3 weeks. No one called. The only time they did call me was after my angry email. Then they didn't call the primary number and didn't leave a voicemail. When I did get in touch with the dispatcher I received a remarkable amount of rudeness and attitude and difficulty on delivering my things. I got in touch with my contact at that point and asked for recompense. I was told they would speak to managent and get back to me. I never heard back.
The movers show up an hour earlier than scheduled and then when I call transcanadamovers asking for my contact they tell me he's stepped out and on top of everything charge me a change of destination fee bc I asked to go to a location 20mins further. I received an incredible amount of attidude and rudeness from this person Emere I believe his name was. He was condescending, extrely rude, silencing and just terrible to deal with given the situation.

All in all I am thoroughly disgusted with trans canada and would never recommend them to anyone who wants their things on time and expects excellent customer service and professionalism.

moving and storage

I was impressed with the good reviews I read for this company. I also received a better cost than another company I had considered. They got my large couch out with no problem. We had boxed things well, or so we thought, The workers made some good suggestions on how to pack mirrors etc. They were quick and professional. Everything arrived fine, and nothing was broken. We were not able to take possession of our house until later than expected, so we had requested the moving company to store our furniture for a couple of months until we were able to move in.

moving company

I received a good bid from Tammy, who is an excellent rep for this company. Everything went smoothly for the packing up, we had a great packer. At the other end things didn't go so well. First off they were 3 hrs late, they were not aware that they were coming to unpack. It was a gong show. Long story but in the end it got done. I did get a credit in the end for all my inconveniences

moving company

I called around and got some quotes for moving from B.C. to Alberta. I was given a quote of $4000. pending the weigh in scales, there could be an adjustment. Well the adjustment was substantial, another $1500. I was disappointed about it but what do you do at that stage? Regardless the move did go very well. The guys who came were awesome and the rest of it was fine.

movers

I hired them to move my household from Delta, B.C. to Palm Springs, Ca. The movers were very professional. The whole move went well, they were relaxed and I was confident in their work. Once there I discovered that I had brought too many furnishings. In the end the company said to just wait until they were in the area again and they would stop by and pick it up to return back to Canada. It worked out very well.

long distance move

I researched moving companies before I hired someone. I found some good reviews for TransCanada Movers. They packed vert well and hauled it away on time. There was an issue with the the time keeping things in storage. I was offered 6 weeks of storage, but took it out after 4. I was overcharged for 2 weeks initially but eventually I got back the money for the difference. The People working for Trans Canada Movers were very nice and very helpful. I would use then again with no hesitation.
