We wanted a modern garage door, horizontal wood slats with frosted windows. Natural wood, as beautiful as it is, comes at a price (not to mention regular maintenance). We were shocked when we saw the door options at Dodd's. Their faux wood doors are gorgeous - of course, up close, you can see that it's not real wood, but from a distance, it's hard to tell. At a fraction of the cost and with no maintenance requirements, we were able to get a stunning garage door, with frosted glass, and have received TONS of compliments on it. In addition, he customer service at Dodd's has been exceptional. We are very pleased with our experience.

As an interior designer, it's crucial for me to work with contractors who are professional (both in our working relationship and in how they present to my clients), clear in their quotation, competitively priced, good at communicating, and deliver quality work. Alex checks all the boxes. He is flexible with change orders, always pointing out where there's an increment in cost and where there isn't. His work is excellent. He is pleasant to work with and on point and timely with his communications. I look forward to working with Alex on many more projects to come.

I have used Kakoz for several projects, kitchens as well as built-in cabinetry. This is the third time we've hired Paul and I would go back to him with ANY carpentry need that I have. He is knowledgeable, fair, has an incredible work ethic. What I love most about Paul is that he's a problem solver - while some contractors' reaction to a challenge is to whine and say it cant' be done, Paul meets every hurdle (and there are many with any major reno) with a positive "can do" attitude...and he gets it done and done right. Not only is he great at what he does, it's evident that he's a strong leader with his crew - they share his strong work ethic, are skilled, respectful, always on time, and always clean the job site at the end of each day. We are especially grateful to Paul for this particular project as he squeezed us in to his very busy schedule. He also removed and reinstalled our back door to our mudroom (at no additional cost) and saved us several hundred dollars. Thank you for another job well done, Paul! We look forward to the next project. :)

We are completely happy with the work that Bally, Mike, Paul and Peter did on our property. They were courteous, professional and a pleasure to work with. Mike is a true craftsman and it's evident he takes his work to heart. Until we found Stoneworks, we had received numerous quotes from landscapers. We were seriously starting to lose hope - the issues ranged from preposterous prices to an absolute lack of professionalism (I had one guy flip his lid with me because I dared to get annoyed with me after HE stood me up 3 times). Just as we were ready to throw in the towel, we found Bally. Thank goodness we did. The only bump was that he was late in starting the work but when his team did start, they didn't leave until the job was finished. And the end result is fantastic.

We received MANY quotes from masons, many of whom we found on homestars, and decided to go with Mike. The main reason was that we got a good vibe from him, but more specifically we found him to be the most responsive, respectful, professional, and easy to deal with. We had a complicated situation with our house. The brick in the front of our house (including the front wall, porch walls and columns) had been clad in cement by previous owners. We removed the cement and in the process damaged the brick (unavoidable given that the cement was applied directly to the brick). Mike had the most realistic, sustainable and cost-effective solution. In the end, we decided to remove and replace the bricks at the front of the house, and tear down and replace the porch walls and columns with wood (hired a carpenter to rebuild in wood). Mike was delivered on all our expectations: he was courteous, professional, meticulous and a pleasure to work with. The new brick blends in with the rest of the house almost seamlessly and it looks like it's always been there. We continue to receive compliments on the brickwork and have already recommended to many neighbours. My only regret is that I wasted as much time as I did getting so many other quotes before finding Mike - I wish he was the first one that I had called. He was the last, though, and I am so happy we finally did find him.

We needed to build new stairs in our backyard and rebuild the front porch deck, stairs, and porch columns. We contacted a few carpenters and selected Paul for a few reasons: he was the most honest & down-to-earth of them all, he was clearly skilled in the trade, and his quote was competitive. Now that the job is complete, we are 150% certain that we made the right decision. His work ethic and craftsmanship are second to none. Our porch and stairs are STUNNING...we continue to get compliments on it from neighbours. Paul and his assistant, Marcin, worked during THE hottest week of the summer and I was quite literally blown away by their dedication and professionalism. I would recommend Paul without a doubt and plan on using him again the next time we need a carpenter.
