For the second time over the past 12 months, I have hired Carter Painting to complete the interior painting of our house. They connected with me promptly after my phone call requesting a quotation. Mike Whiton who is in charge of estimates, soon made quick work of measuring what was to be included and provided my quote within a day or two. After having had our Master and Guest bathrooms renovated and installation of engineered hardwood flooring throughout...it was time to tackle painting of baseboard trim, door & window casings, doors and closets throughout the house. Plus ceilings and walls in the kitchen, mud room and powder room. The scope of work required a lot of preparation, which was done meticulously by the three team members involved...Alex, Mike and Ben. The standard of work was excellent. The team arrived early each morning throughout the four-day project and stayed until late on a couple of evenings to make sure the first coat of wall paint would be dry by next morning and ready for the second coat. The end result has completely changed the look inside our house and I could not be happier. The finish is very professional and looks seamless beside the first round of painting completed back in September 2018. I would highly recommend Carter Painting to anyone who values quality workmanship, reliability and professional, experienced painters. Any and all questions were promptly addressed by Neil Carter the owner and his wife Liz. They are a customer focused operation, which demonstrates how much they truly value their customers. I will certainly hire Carter Painting for my next painting project.

This was the second time I had brought Speers Flooring in to install engineered hardwood flooring in our bungalow. This time to 'feather' more of the previously installed Torlys flooring into the Great room area, then continue through to the foyer, hallway, study and two bedrooms. Needless to say, this is a job for a professional with an expert eye for detail. Our professional installer took the time he needed to do the job to the highest standards. Literally no cutting corners. Each piece was installed with care and precision. We were overjoyed to see the final results. In fact it seemed such a shame to have to put furniture back in the rooms again, the flooring was such a delight to look at. Speers Flooring's customer centric approach to doing business, assures a positive experience both before and after your project has been completed. They run a very professional operation and their product knowledge is extensive. I would highly recommend you buy your flooring from Speers Flooring. And unless you know what you are doing....have their professional installers complete your project. I found their pricing to be competitive and the quality of work second to none. Having lived with carpet and ceramic tiles beforehand, engineered hardwood flooring is by far much easier to keep clean and a healthier product to have in your home. Just make sure you have the humidity levels in your home consistent throughout the changing seasons and you will enjoy the benefits of having this natural product in your life for a very long time.

From A Very Old and Dated 1999 Master En Suite...To My Dream Bathroom. It is said the first place potential buyers look when viewing a property, is the kitchen and the bathrooms. The two most important areas of any house for most people. Both in terms of efficiency, looks and investment. In June 2018 I visited Kitchen & Bathroom Galleries in Burlington to ask if they cold help me put together a plan for the renovation of our old En Suite, which was in dire needs of updating. Everything was builder's grade and showing the signs of wear and tear. Over the course of several months, I selected and purchased all the fixtures and fittings along with the various extras that we will benefit from as we age in our home. I cannot over emphasize how important it is to take some time to look at the various websites out there which can help you determine what you really like e.g. Houzz, Pinterest etc. It will help your designer focus upon your style and of course budget. Once all the components were purchased and ready for delivery...then the Contractors were able to begin demolition of the old bathroom. Demolition Day is an unbelievably quick process. Especially when you are in the hands of people who have plenty of practice and experience under their belt. The amount of preparation that goes into the planning stage once demolition is complete, will at this point in time pay dividends. There are a million and one variables that go into achieving the final result and every single detail counts. Lots of measuring, calculating, verification and consultation. Before demolition begins, the contractors will cover any furniture and protect your belongings by covering any open areas, blinds or flooring. Anywhere that could be affected by the dust that will ensue once demolition and renovation begins. They also change into indoor shoes when they arrive each morning. And clear up each evening before they leave. This was a thoughtful gesture which I appreciated. Your life will be upside down for the next little while! That I can guarantee. Electrical installations are handled separately at various stages of the project. This is determined by the progress and stages completed by the Contractors. An Electrical Inspection is officially made to the home both during electrical installation and for final inspection at the end of the project. One more tradesperson who contributed, took the template measurements for the two 9' tall glass panels in my shower stall. The installers were incredible at handling the sturdy glass (but glass nevertheless!) during installation. Each and every person who played an important role in my renovation has to be commended for their professionalism. You can be rest assured the people who K & B Galleries assign to your project are very passionate about what they do. Including the showroom staff. I would highly recommend Kitchen and Bathroom Galleries - Burlington based upon my personal experience. Thank you to everyone who helped create My Dream Bathroom.

Do It Once And Do It Right With Carter Painting I have had the most amazing experience by hiring Carter Painting to remove the popcorn ceilings in the main floor of our bungalow and paint most of the main floor...including dining room, foyer entrance, main hallway, Master Bedroom, Guest Bedroom and Study. The team of painters headed by Eric were extremely professional, each paid attention to detail and took care to protect our furniture and belongings throughout. The team of Eric, Chase, Quintin and Ishmail demonstrated the perfect example of how teamwork gets the job done without fuss or undue mess. The scope of work took four days and by the time all the painting supplies and paraphernalia had been packed up, the transformation of our home exceeded my expectations. From the initial consultation with Neil Carter (owner) for the job estimate, through to the final walk-through at the end of the fourth day, I found the team to be punctual, efficient, experienced and well prepared for what they were there to do. They even vacuumed in addition to their clean up. All in all, this is the best experience I have ever had using professional painters. I would highly recommend Carter Painting and will be using them again for future work still to be done. Special mention to Tina Hurley who coordinates everything between Neil, client and painters. The online accounting system allows easy payment of deposits and final balance, as well as seeing exactly what is included in your Job Estimate. I do like the complete transparency which mitigates any confusion as to what you are being charged for. It is a breath of fresh air to work with a company who says what they will do and stays true to their word. If you are in need of a painter(s) save yourself the heartache by going straight to Carter Painting. They have a user friendly website which clearly states their goals. Thank You From A Very Happy Customer :)

After hiring a painter who made a disaster of painting the popcorn ceiling in son's condo, we soon realized we needed a professional to 'fix' the problems created. Enter John Fry, Operations Manager at The City Painters and his amazing plasterer Nick and painters Gina and Dave. From the initial phone call until the job was done, John monitored progress of the job throughout. He updated us regularly about the days and time his people would arrive and the work that would be done. What an absolute delight to deal with a company who say what they will do and follow through accordingly. John's frequent communications left us feeling the job was in good hands and we would be more than satisfied with the end result. Which we were. We extended the job from not only the ceiling but also the walls and closets. Our son was on a tight budget and John worked with us to keep costs under control by suggesting areas we could tackle ourselves. A job that started out with another painter from another company who did a terrible job, has turned out to be an amazing transformation by The City Painters. I would highly recommend The City Painters. They do excellent work at a fair price.
