After the rain storm of 2013, where we had just a little leak, we decided that investing in waterproofing of our house would give us a piece of mind for years to come. Maelstrom was suggested by a family friend, and after getting a few estimates from different companies and comparing the professionalism ie being on time to do the estimate, giving all the options and $ involved, returning calls and answering our questions, we chose Maelstrom. To be honest, the whole waterproofing is not the most pleasant thing to be going through but the guys did such a great job at minimizing any inconveniences, always planned ahead, having our family functions and safety(we have two little ones) in mind. It is very labour intensive work, once you see how much work it is, the cost of it is definitely justified. The quality of the work is fantastic, even their competitor said that! I guess the true test will be in the years to come:)The last day was also my husband's birthday, and the guys even put back the interlocking in front of the house for the time being(no other waterproofing company does it) as a present to my hubby;). I definitely feel it was a good decision to hire this company for the job. And we are also eligible for a credit from the city for installing the back flow? valve. Great experience in the end. I would definitely recommend this company!
