Good roof replacement, with minor issues

I'll start with the good parts:
A competitive price (not the lowest, but in-line with the market).
Quick (one day) installation.
The new roof looks great from the curb.
And awesome manufacturer warranty.

Still, we had a few bumps on the road:

First, there was some junk in the gutters.
When I pointed that out, the guys cleaned it up.

I found the (previous owner's) satellite dish, that was fixed on the roof before, hanging by its cable on the downspout. I don't need that dish, so I took it off. It would have been nice for them to ask what to do with it.

I discovered a few other small issues with soffit vents and baffles, that were promptly fixed after talking with Scott.

All-in-all, the guys did a good job re-shingling the roof. But it felt like the team could give more attention to the details.

I would probably recommend this team for most of your roofing needs. Just make sure you check the end result and ask your questions if you're not happy about a particular thing.

Approximate cost of services:
$7,100.00

Company Response

Thank you Alex for your business and taking the time to write about our company. We were happy to help you in the attic, re-connecting the exhaust fan hoses to the roof exhaust vents and drilling the holes needed to connect these hoses to the fans. After a few items had been overlooked in the darkness, we appreciated your call and the opportunity to promptly correct the items. I am a happy to report a job well done. All the best Alex. Thank you!

Good roof replacement, but with multiple issues

However the devil is in details.

I got on the roof to admire the work. And I saw a bottle from an Energy drink. Went to pick it up. In the gutter were plenty of nails, small pieces of shingles and other junk. All the gutters had some junk in them.
I then found the (previous owner's) satellite dish, that was fixed on the roof before, hanging by its cable on the downspout. I don't need that dish, but it would have been nice for them to ask what to do with it.

Seeing these, I decided to inspect the work more thoroughly.

I discovered that 2 of the 8 newly installed soffit vents were installed under the flat roof of the garage. WTF? I don't need ventilation in my garage. I need it in the crawling space of the house.

Got into the crawling space and checked the newly installed baffle vents. Guess what - half of them were missing. Several - just suspended above the insulation.

We also had 2 insulated vent ducts installed. The duct to the kitchen was properly installed - no problem there. But the bathroom duct was just laying in the crawl space with a half-cut hole in the bathroom ceiling.
No contractor should leave the site with some of the work half-done and not follow-up afterwards.

The guys did a good job re-shingling the roof. But many of the extras I payed for were barely done up to their level. I hope that they take this review as a constructive feedback and fix all these small issues.
