Sadly they have been the worst movers ive ever used

I hired Paul’s on a recommendation from a friend. The guys were friendly and worked hard. I had to leave before them and had no idea until weeks later what a disaster they left. We had a farm and 2 households to move and expected to do it over a couple moves and months
They arrived with our first load and gave me a super that had trapped and plastic wrapped in a container from our other place. They damaged my sons $2000 fridge going up the deck steps. They acknowledged it at the time but when I spoke to Paul later he said he wasn’t told. It’s a long jagged dent on the lower door that was not there prior.
I was told there was a big mess left but had no idea how bad it truly was until I returned weeks later. Heirloom wood furniture taken outside and left in the winter weather. Houseplants and electronics. They dumped dog toys on the driveway and left them. I tried to call Paul to let him know when I saw it weeks later but was unable to reach him. I’m relatively sure that had he been onsite they young guys would not have left things in this nightmare condition. It’s a hard back breaking job but there simply is no excuse for the carelessness for which they performed the job. I can not recommend them to move anything for anyone. Sloppy work and terrible after service care

Approximate cost of services:
$4,200.00

Company Response

Hi Debbi,
On the day we arrived, we did a walk through with you and we were instructed to start at the back shop. We focused on the shop for the first few hours of the move. Once we finish loading in the back we came up to the front house, as per instructed. You were away doing errands and we started to pack up your front living room and upstairs bedrooms before you arrived back. As the two guys tackled the upstairs, Kenny and myself focused on the main floor and downstairs appliances. As the truck was being loaded periodically we were bringing loads of patio furniture back to the container onsite.
The spider in question was one of many that came out of the shop stuff among the rat and mice feces, kenny had captured it so it wasnt getting back into your stuff. Besides wading through cat litter as we grab the appliances from the basement and stepping on dog crap periodically throughout the day, we all had an excellent time and all had smiles on our faces for the duration of the move.
As it was getting dark is when we started to focus on the mobile home. We had called you and made arrangements to come back over the next few days to load the bins as there was not enough daylight and not enough lighting onsite to continue loading it safely. i personally went around and closed all the barn doors, container, shop doors and all the gates on your property. Once finished getting as much onto our truck as possible we moved the truck to the main house and cleaned up (our) garbage. We were loading up our plywood, garbage and remaining balance of unused boxes when your friend arrived, he instructed us not to worry about anything else as there were house sitters coming to clean up the following day.

We knew we would not be getting everything on as per your instructions we focused on the heavy stuff. Appliances, glass table tops and larger furniture. We left all the house plants inside the main house, in front of the windows, in the living room and dinning room. Any electronic that was left unpacked was left inside the house. Not one single house plant was taken outside by our crew. We knew they would'nt fit onto the truck, so why would we waste energy moving them to the outside of the house. As for the table i cant recall leaving anything wood on the outside of your house. From my recollection the only thing left out front of your house was the outdoor large planters we moved off the front steps to have better access to the front door.
We are not vindictive and would go out of our way to *throw* dog toys around or make a giant mess. Quite the opposite we spent a good portion of our time in the shop and in the house repacking boxes to make sure nothing would be damaged during transportation.
Ryan went out of his way to remove a dead rat out of your new place where one of the fridges went into ect.
Unfortunately as Ryan and Patrick came up the back stairs with your sons fridge they hit a metal bracket from a pre existing rail that the previous tenants left attached to the house. Ryan took responsibility for the fridge as he was carrying it at the time of the damage. Although little things like a botched hand rail renovation are out of our control, we accepted responsibility.
We were scheduled to have two guys come back to help you load your truck, trailer, and repack the container but you didnt want us to come back to the farm at a later date, if anything was left outside of the container and was damaged by the weather we apologize as with the lack of light if i had seen something wood i would have put it back into the barn.
Sorry you were unhappy with the move, and had a hard time reaching us to come to an closure. We are deeply sorry for your friends antique table was damaged.

Thank you again for the business, we hope we can settle this with you and come to a conclusion.
