Fix moving & creaking bathtub

I am overdue in writing this review. The work in my home was done in mid-February 2013. A friend of mind found Dave on this Homestars website for me, and when I called through Dave was very helpful and came to assess the job quite quickly. At the time, the past owner of the home had redone the main bathroom upstairs and the tub was very nice and new. However, the tub would move ever so slightly once water was added, and afterwards, the tub would creak and crack (quite loudly) contracting and moving back into place. Dave was confident that he could remedy this issue, and felt that the past owner did not install the tub correctly on the side wall. Dave never over-promised the result.
To do this repair, Dave had to cut a relatively large opening in the dry wall on the other side of the bathroom wall to avoid damaging any tiles, etc. in the bathroom. The net result, was that Dave's fix worked (he had to put cement underneath the tub)! My only negative is that the dry wall job (to fill the opening) is okay, not great, but I understand how hard it is to patch a space on an existing wall. All in all, I found Dave to be very professional, punctual (which was a nice change compared to other tradespeople that I have hired), and hard working. He also accommodated by scheduled which was much appreciated. Overall, I would definitely recommend Dave.

Approximate cost of services:
$1,200.00
