Crown Moulding Installation

I found this company to be extremely rude, unprofessional and sloppy. The installer sent by Eddie was not willing to match the pattern on the moulding making it look sloppy. When asked to do so he was not willing and was getting extremely agitated and angry. He was going to leave the job halfway and go but Eddie convinced him to complete atleast one room. Halfway through the second room he got angry again and left with half moulding nailed and the other half hanging from the ceiling. He was alone and half the time I was climbing the ladder and holding the moulding in place for him to nail. Eddie didn't even bother calling us back despite leaving multiple messages. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Company Response

At Royal Mouldings Inc., we pride ourselves in delivering excellent quality of work, and providing exemplary customer service. In this particular case, our undoubted efforts to assist this customer did not work out in good favour for him, nor us. Against our better judgement, we were to supply installation of the customer's OWN crown moulding. Something our competitors all agree on, is not a good practice. We advised the client at the beginning, that this material was not recommended for many reasons. We also advised the client that this material was difficult to work with, especially the profile that was chosen. All our employees were busy with other installations, and we tried to help the customer meet some deadlines as he already hired the painters. We sent a contractor over and he had difficulties installing the mouldings. However, one room was completed to the customer's satisfaction. The contractor did not want to continue with any other rooms and notified us, at which point we notified the customer. We apologized and in good faith, we did not charge Mr. & Mrs. Doe any monies. We did pay our contractor who tried to help us out. In hindsight, we will stick to our Policies and guidelines which is, not to install customer's OWN mouldings.
