minto is the worst builder ever met. Stay away from them for any sites . Very poor project management. Arista & Deco, or fieldgate or treasure hill are much better choices.

I've been living in a Minto building in Downtown Toronto for a year and a half, and my advice is: if you have another option, don't live here.
The building markets itself as a high-end building, but it's not.
If you want to deal with issues like: air conditioning not working, structural problems in the apartment, rats on the balcony, basic items in your unit not working for months, and neighbors throwing trash and vomiting on your balcony, don't move to this Minto building because although some of these problems may not be directly the building management's fault, they are completely negligent in resolving issues. Not all emails are responded to, and they take months to solve simple situations.
Furthermore, they rent out units with structural problems and don't inform you about them before renting.
The amenities (when they're working) and the location of the building are great, but it's not worth the headache of living in a place where you pay over $2500 TO LIVE IN a 48sqm apartment full of problems with negligent management.

I recently rented one of their 2022 built house and the first day it has major water leakage. Not recommended to anyone

After 5 months of closing , the property is not completed yet and is not livable!!

Minto is the worst, most unethical, unscrupulous builder. They install Kitchen Craft wood cabinets months before windows are installed and don't care what the Florida humidity does to them. They tell us they are warranteed by the manufacturer. Does Kitchen Craft know these are their practices? They install drywall before windows during the rainy season. Hmmm, what could go wrong there? Also, they are not honest about when the homes will be completed. Expect perhaps a year longer than what they promise. Utterly dismal experience.

This was my 2nd Minto home after I purchased one in 2016. Minto is the worse builder for dealing with any issues during the buying process and post delivery. There were all kinds of incomplete items when my home was delivered and many items are still incomplete.
My most frustration is with who to go to when you report any issues. Their customer service process is extremely messed up Mastercare doesn't respond to any calls or emails and onsite staff tell you to go to Mastercare. There are probably 2 or 3 people who run the Mastercare process but even those two people are doing this part-time (I was told by reception).
How can they get away with this poor level of service and cause so much agony to customers?? Who can we complaint to so that they take action and resolve our issues with decent time frames ??
If you want to save yourself headaches, dont buy a Minto home. They need to get their act straight before they deserve our business.

Terrible experience with Minto Builder. All kinds of defects. Had to hire contractor to fix outstanding issues. Last week, a 120 volt outlet melted which could have been disastrous since it never tripped the breaker. I called Minto Mastercare. The representative was rude and unsympathetic. They refused to send an electrical contractor because the house was fresh out of warranty.
Disconnecting the outlet cost me $270 for an elctrician. The damage is not repaired.

This was my first home and I was very proud to have accomplished this. Then came the drama from day 1. It took them FOREVER to start the build, I was told December and it didnt happen until 1 full year later. I can live with that however, the craftsmanship is horrendous. First time I washed, I had a leak in the basement, first time I ran the AC it tripped the water leak sensor, first time I did dishes, I had a leak at the water main. DID ANYONE CHECK THESE THINGS PRIOR? Not one corner of the house has a decent coat of paint, all the corners are thick chunky paint. there is atleast 1 baseboard in every room that was not completely painted. I paid $366 dollars for upgraded door hinges and every single one of them has the paint scratched off OR wall paint drips. This builder clearly hired the cream of the crop to build their homes. Can NEVER recommend this builder. Never, and forget about the mastercare team because they definitely do not care

We first both a townhome around 2009, the experience was good so we decided to buy from Minto again in 2018 for our single home. Oh mine! Worst nightmare we’ve ever experienced. They used cheap materials, on our moving day the closet hangers fell down, faucet was leaked, they misplaced light switch, cold water came from hot water side, they did no instal a drain hole in the basement, the list goes on and on. When items were put on the Tarion form they did not follow through with repair, we asked for Tarion inspection. They told us to cancel the appointment because they plan to fix the items. We used up several vacation days to wait for their contractor who never showed up. WELL MINTO, NEVER WILL WE BUY YOUR HOME OR WILL WE RECOMMEND YOU!

My kitchen cabinet start to show bubbles a few months after the closing day.
In the year end form, I listed it as a problem and Minto said they have no responsibility for it.
Soon I figured out they didn't use the birch which I paid for as the cabinet material, but use the MDF which is not suitable to be used in kitchen so cause the problem.
They have never mentioned to me that they changed my upgrade option, and they are very strongly think they have the right to change whatever they want without notify the home owner!
Now they keep ignoring me, no email response, and when you call, they always say they are OK to do so and won't fix my problem at all! Be careful!
