My washing machine broke down and I wasn't able to get it up and running. I called a bunch of places: some refused flat-out to come into downtown Toronto, others quoted me insane prices, and one guy actually came, spent ten minutes looking at it (in exchange for $50), and told me the motor was broken and would cost $350 (parts and labour) to fix.
I called Delroy after finding him on the internet. He came to inspect within a day, determined that the motor was perfectly fine, fixed the relevant problem, which turned out to be something quite minor and totally unrelated to the motor. The total job, which took no more than twenty minutes, cost me only $90 - a fraction of what I would have been looking at otherwise.
