Kitchen cabinets

The cabinets looked good until I had a few paint chips ,that's when I found out he gave us MDF product instead of the Maple Doors we ordered. Since then its been hell Al told youget MDF or there is nothing I can do for you any more. Since then he will not answer any phone calls ,we leave messages but no reply. When the cabinets came all the drawers were to short for the space. It took Al over a month to come and look at the Doors and drawers that were made to short, he agreed that it would get fixed. Another month went by and we took the drawers back to his shop, then he sent someone to get the doors. We noticed he was very pleasant to talk to until he got his full payment made many promises but never gave us all that we agreed to in the first quote. Since then he has been dishonest with us several times.

Approximate cost of services:
$21,000.00

Company Response

Since they did not identify themselves I can only assume that this is the lady who painted over brand new white melamine cabinets because they were not white enough. The drawers are always built to match the length of the slides in order for them to be considered full extension. This person could not understand that we have a solid full back to our cabinets which means losing 5/8" to the back of the 24" cabinet. Since the slides come in 2" increments the maximum length of the drawer should be 22". Realizing that she did not understand we remade all the, now painted, drawers to a length of 23". Obviously we could no longer re-use any of this painted material. She fails to mention that after approving the drawings and after they were installed, she requested the addition of extra drawers in several cabinets. We accommodated her requests even though she refused to pay additional costs claiming she misunderstood. Once she denied approving the use of MDF doors and drawer fronts she refused to allow us into her house to install them. Our hands were now tied.
