furnace inspection/servicing
Karl in TorontoHad Megacity come in and do a furnace inspection and servicing. Dave (I think that was his name) arrived on time and was very polite and professional throughout the entire inspection. He gave me great information while performing the inspection and talked me through some options and a quote for a new furnace for when the time would come. At no time did I feel like he was pushing anything on me. He also talked me through the options regarding a tankless water heater. Again, i didn't feel any pressure, and I appreciated his honesty and willingness to answer my questions and provide me with questions about both the furnace and the water heater. I would recommend Megacity Heating for anyone needing a furnace inspection/servicing, and they will be the first (and likely only) place i call when its time to replace the furnance and/or install a tankless water heater.

Replaced furnace, water heater and air conditioner
MegaCity has great products and great installers | Toronto HomeownerOur decision to choose MegaCity was definitely a winner. We decided on a York 2-Stage high efficiency furnace, Rinnai tankless water heater, and York 15 seer air con. Their product offerings were exactly to our needs with no push for any up-selling, and the installers were professional with a clean install and no problems to note.

Furnace, A/C, Tankless Install
Hassle free, competitive price. | New Homeowner in TorontoEstimate to install went smoothly. Good communication from office, installers were polite and efficient, a clean job. We went with Megacity as we felt they quoted equipment we needed, rather than a more expensive model. As a concrete example, several other quotes included a more expensive 10GPM unit, overkill for our 2 bathroom-home. Megacity suggested a 7.5GPM model would suit our needs, and it has. Megacity is a York dealer, we didn't have any strong attachments to the name vs. other higher-end brands. The quote was competitive, we received quotes around the same price point for both higher end (Lennox) and budget (Goodman, Amana) brands. Minus one point for having to chase after some manufacturer rebates that they failed to bring to our attention (we found out about them from another installer on a DIY forum), but overall a good experience.

Purchase & Installation of York High Efficiency Furnace and Tankless Hot Water Heater
Darin & Partner were very professional in the 3 days to completion | Sel in ScarboroughMy first contact with MegaCity was a repair call on my old furnace that was initially taken care promptly, although another system failed within a couple of weeks. The service technician Darin was very pleasant, answered questions to my satisfaction. When I was ready to replace my heating system, although I had got three other estimates and two of these were less than or equal to estimate from MegaCity, I decided to purchase from MegaCity solely on the fact that I was confident with Darin personally doing the work in my home. I was not disappointed, the job was done as promised on schedule, I had heat and hot water in my home for the first time in 3 long weeks and there was no excessive mess left behind. The technicians were very professional in their work and general deportment, I am quite happy with the work that has been done, still can't believe how quiet this furnace is!

Major HVAC project
Megacity was magnificent! | Cate in TorontoOur HVAC situation was complicated; we had a Lennox boiler and heat exchanger unit that was constantly breaking down, probably because it was not able to deal with the demands of heat, hot water and the radiant floor heating in our basement. We got quotes from 5-10 different HVAC companies and received a lot of different and confusing advice. The range to replace/repair our system was $5500 to $14000. My husband stumbled on Megacity by fluke and we are both glad he did! Darin at Megacity is a total professional and very good at what he does. He is excellent at explaining HVAC (no small feat!) is extremely thorough, very tidy while working and respectful of your needs. We had been told by other companies that we would have no heat or hot water for 2 days and possibly 3--a difficult situation to accommodate when you're at home with 2 small kids. By painstakingly reworking our system, Darin was able to minimize the inconvenience to us--we had no hot water for about an hour, no heat for a few, and that was it! In addition, the HVAC solution proposed by Darin enabled us to maximize our government energy rebates while making our new system amazingly energy efficient. This was the most expensive project we've done on our home, but it was truly the most painless. The professionalism, courtesy, attention to detail and care taken by Darren and John was absolutely outstanding. They showed up on time and were lovely to deal with. Their price was considerably less than that quoted by other companies for a similar configuration. They reorganied the pipes in our basement to make them safer. I would unhesitatingly recommend this company to anyone who needs a new furnace/hot water heater.
