Second time we are using him. The first time was okay, he drilled a bunch of holes in the side wall to find a stud for the handrail, so we had to patch those up.
The second job was horrible, he just slapped the stairs on, the whole staircase was supported only by a single 1x4 (not even 2x4) and a few screws that went into the landing.
He ripped walls underneather like a savage instead of cutting the drywall, just ripped with his hands - awful. I spent another day myself to add extra support for the stairs so they don't go crashing down. He doesn't take his garbage away either.

We at Inter stairs are specialist at custom stair manufacturing and not framers but sometimes we try to help our customers, especially when that customer fails to have the stair opening ready for us to install our stairs but in this case, it bit us in butt. We were there ready to install, we couldn't, so rather taking the stairs back we decided help this client by removing an existing old disgusting stairs and temporarily install our, that is what we do, every stair company installs temporarily and it is up to the carpenter to secure them but this client obviously didn't have one and expected us to do it for free and when we refused, well you can see by her review.
