A review for WaterWorks Plumbing and Drains, Inc.

We were not getting hot water because of a problem in the mixing valve located at the outlet of the water boiler in the basement. I called up Water Works plumbing who said they would send someone over on Saturday. George from Water Works showed up on time, quickly reviewed the problem and gave me a quote. I gave George the 'go ahead' and he did the entire job very efficiently and reliably. What I really liked about Water Works is that they give an 'upfront' quote that is based on the job to be done, and the quote includes everything (material and labour). I feel this is much better than most other companies, who only give you an 'hourly' rate in their estimate. I would definitely rate Water Works as being very reliable.

A review for Desi Movers

My wife and I had hired Desi movers to move from a condo to another, and it was a nightmare. These guys gave us a quote of $47 per hour. But when they showed up to move they said they needed a deposit of $300 in cash. We protested but they said that this was a "mandatory" charge and they had just forgotten to tell us about it. Further after they loaded our belongings in their truck, they asked for $500 more, saying that it was for condo insurance. We said we needed no insurance, but they pressured us into paying, saying that any remaining amount will be refunded. At this point all of our stuff was already in their truck, and we ended up believing them. After paying $500, they again called up their boss who said they needed to be paid $200 more. At this point, we realized that they were a bunch of crooks. But we could not take any action against them, as we stupidly had agreed to paying them cash, instead of paying them by credit card or cheque.

A review for Ultimate Choice Movers

My wife and I moved from a Condo to a Townhouse in Mississauga on July 24th. We had hired Ultimate movers after doing a fair bit of research on this site. We found the movers (Ultimate movers) to be very professional and reliable. They showed up on time, did their work very efficiently, and their charges were exactly as per their quote - with no unpleasant surprises whatsoever. They also accepted payment by cheque, and that too only AFTER the moving was completed. Having reliable movers took a lot of stress off our moving effort.
